Need help with motorcycle question

How many gallons in that tank?

My goldwing, I could hit 200 miles on a tank which has 5.75 gallon.

Most touring bike got bigger tank.

I am getting about 100 miles per tank and should be getting 150 as my friends with the same bikes are.

I think it is 3.5 Gal tank but don't quote me on that. I will check my manual when I get home. It's funny but I never pay attention to how many gallons I pump. Just watch to make sure I don't overflow..

I did research and it is really 3.9 gallon so your close to being correct. And only 100 miles? I would agree something is wrong! 150 gallon out of that tank would be reasonable as I calculated.

my bike's 3.9 gallons. Most of time at gas station - the pump stops at 3.5 gallons. I get about 300 miles on a tank (65-70mpg). Heard that you can rally rider can put in 10 gallons with aftermarket gas tank plus - extra 2-5 gallons with 2 jerry cans

I'm not comfortable riding with that tremendous amount of flammable fuel on me!!!

My bike is a V-Twin with a single carb. Generally the single carb bikes dont get as good of milage as the mulitple carb bikes. My old bike was 4 cylinder with a carb for each cylinder. I got much better mileage from that bike than I do with my current. How many carbs Jiro?

You mean fuel injection per cylinder? The carb is good for all cylinders but carb per cylinder? I never heard of that before. Maybe I would be wrong about motorcycle.

Many multi-cylinder motorcycles have one carberator per cylinder. It's quite common.

2 Cylinder 2 carb

4 cylinder 4 carb - Carbs are not installed but you can see the intake openings where the carbs would be mounted.

3 cylinder 3 carb

4 cylinder 4 carbs - it's kind of a small picture but you can see the carbs.

my bike is a single-cylinder fuel-injected rotax engine with 1 spark plug. the older model had 2. lol i'm not that old enough to ride bike with carb

Speakin of quicker out of hole, this is very true. My Goldwing is the last model (GL1200) without computerized governor control. Speed is unlimited technically. After 87 (GL1500), it has cut off if going over 150MPH. Seriously, I can dart out faster than GL1500

Yes and with one carb per cylinder you get better gas milage and the bike is quicker out of the hole.
