Somebody or a group who is certainly angry enough at Cantor (or perhaps the Republican party) to shoot a bullet through his office window. A much more dangerous and violet form of protest than simply spray painting someone else's office or a rock at a window.

Republican Rep. Eric Cantor said Thursday that his Richmond campaign office has been shot at and that he’s received “threatening e-mails” — but at the same time accused top Democrats of trying to exploit the threats they’ve been receiving for “political gain.”

Cantor said “a bullet was shot through the window” of his campaign office. The incident happened Monday, Fox News has learned, the latest in a rash of apparent threats and acts of intimidation against members of Congress. Most of the threats so far have been reported by Democrats, but Cantor — the No. 2 Republican in the House — is one of about 10 lawmakers who has asked for increased security protection, Fox News has learned.

But in brief and pointed remarks, Cantor said he would not be releasing any information about the other threats he’s received, as some lawmakers have done, out of concern that it would “encourage more to be sent.”

And he admonished his colleagues — specifically Rep. Chris Van Hollen, D-Md., and Democratic National Committee Chairman Tim Kaine — for “dangerously fanning the flames by suggesting these incidents be used as a political weapon.”

“Any suggestion that a leader in this body would incite threats or acts against other members, is akin to saying that I would endanger myself, my wife or my children,” Cantor said. “It is reckless to use these incidents as media vehicles for political gain.”

I wonder who we shall hold responsible for these violent and obviously very dangerous and life threatening actions? Of course, not a rhetorical question here.

Yes, but it also comes with a responsibility. Obviously the individual doesn't know the responsibility of handling a gun, much less firing it. The 2nd Amendment does not give anybody the right to threaten, harrass, shoot up other people's properties, or shoot bullets with the intention injuring or killing somebody.

Please know the difference. Very..very...important.

Stop signs are fair game though right?

That's a destruction of town/county properties. So, no. Not a good idea. LOL. The key thing is to be responsibile with your guns and how you shoot them. Do you agree? Mustn't have some yahoo nut go running around shooting into windows of politicians' offices.

Bullet that hit Cantor office was randomly fired | GoDanRiver

Later Thursday, however, Richmond police said in a news release that the bullet had been fired into the air around 1 a.m. Tuesday. It finished its random arc back to earth at a sharp downward trajectory, breaking a window pane on the bottom floor of the two-story brick building where Cantor’s campaign leases the top floor.

The spent bullet hit the floor about one foot inside the shattered pane. No one was in the building at the time. A police investigation has yielded no suspects.
