what do you think of these?
I like the composite bats. "Combats". Less vibration when you hit the ball..
Did they fall off a truck?
Hehe.
Actually, I think that might be the same softball bat my team purchased last summer. Very light and balanced, but it doesn't hit the ball as far as a heavier, older model. I think the double-walled bats are a little hyped in terms of how far they drive the ball.
That Synergy isn't no double wall bat, its composite stock.
Synergy hits laser line drives which feel great. I use Miken bats personally. Have to be carefull here during early spring games or late fall games because cooler temps can crack the bats unfortunately. Otherwise, the sweet spot on miken is better than any company I've used and they hit some major bombs. I also have a worth PST 100+ which is the best bat Worth has ever made. Sweet spot is marginal, but has some awesome pop.

Gonna have to check that out.
Now these bats are costly.
Some sports store do sell used bats.
I checked some out. But kind of weary of buying used bats. Are they worth buying and how can you tell if they are still up to par to hit the ball with?
weeeeeeeeeeeeeee we have ourselves some knowledgeable people!
In my bag - I have a synergy +, and a Freak +
I play USSSA so these bats in the pics are just sitting around.
The Synergy + I have ... ive had it since it came out It looks beat to all heck and still kills the ball.
You are probably looking for some for your daughters fast pitch, right?
As far as that goes, I'd trust a used bat for youth fast pitch much more that adult softball bats. There are lots of factors that need to be considered when considering a used bat.
How many people used the bat?
How many at bats approximately has that bat been used for.
Has that bat been used at the batting cages? Its a big no no to use these nicer composite bats at the batting cage and significantly shortens the life of the bat. A lot of the newest technology bats actually take a "breaking in period" until the bat's full potential can be achieved. But they also have a "shelf life" (This is much less with bats where us guys taking huge cuts and repeatedly crushing softballs) Many of the bats produced from 1998-2003/04 may have much more durability, but do not even come close to the performance of newer composite technology of the last 5 years.
Are those 06's
Yup! Bold prints!![]()
She has been begging for a composite bat.
Went to "Play It Again Sports"
They sell many used bats for half the price. Since a good youth bat can range from 200 bucks or so.
Seen a few combats for 99 bucks.
She really wants one.

I still have my old Miken Ultra II, which got banned from USSSA, because it was "too good"
