When LED stoplights are dangerous in cold weather situations

I know, I said whiteout because I just drove in one last week. Its where you can't see anything but white.

Snowy situations - if you didnt have time to stop, you were simply driving too fast.

How would they know? They can see the intersection.

Usually people who are driving in snowy situations are the ones who are goin from their home to store, or work. Thats it. They already know their area, so they also should know where the stops along the way are.

That light in the distance is your reference point and a warning that you're approaching an intersection. No reference point means an increased risk of getting into an accident.

Not everybody are locals or know the area.

Actually.... that's not entirely true. In Ontario, some highways do contain a few intersections. For instance, the 406. There used to be quite a few intersections with traffic lights. Right now, there are 3 left and one should be eliminated in a few months or so once the overpass is completed. There were more of them a few years ago until they started building more overpasses.

Several factors here. Speed, weather condition, lighting condition, and any kind of obscurity such as buildings, trucks or trees that can hide what might be an apparent intersection that could contribute to an accident.

I'm still not seeing it. Never seen an intersection on highway.

Jiro, I can gladly show you a picture of a highway that has several intersections. Its a 55mph highway. It's a walk from my place.

there are all kinds of highway. you may heard of Lee Highway, and it isn't an interstate at all, even Lee highway can have a few intersection.
