Yes, the Vegemite has arrived and I have tried it. I'm currently waiting for YouTube to complete the processing of the video so I can post it here for viewing so you can all see my reaction.....

From all I have read, it is like eating beef boullion in paste form.

Too strong for Americans. When I was a teenager being a big fan of England, I used to spend allowance money on English puddings and Callard and Bowser butterscotch candies.

I like flavor, but I may go lighter on the spread next time. It's definitely got a different wang to it - but I wouldn't call it nasty. Although my mother begs to differ. :lol:

Try with a layer of cheese, it is even better!
 
For a few seconds there, I wasn't sure if you were going to start gagging and yakkin or if you were going to make like those kids who go cuckoo for cocopuffs. :)
 
Dixie, you look more determined than truly happy.

But my father insisted I acquire a taste for bleu cheese dressing on salads and brussel sprouts. And I still love both to this day. So anything is possible. :)

Block cheese, just normal cheese

- Spread a little of butter while toast is warm or hot
- Spread some vegemite (not too much - strong taste tho)
- slap some plenty of cheese on top

- eat away!

I admit there for a minute I wasn't sure if I liked it or hated it, that's why I went after 2nd bite.

But in 2nd bite I got a huge glob of it at once and I was thinking AACKK! First bite was better than the second. This tells me this is good but it's an acquired taste for those not used to it.
