Jet-powered Ford guns for 300 mph

Not going to happen cause going 300 mph, you will likely get lifted by air and gone out of control in no time. I read that article and it said predicted that it will reach 300MPH

Yeah, it is true. If no front air dam or modify installed on the Ford couple, may faces risk on the flat, however the inspectors at the Bonneville, may or will conduct the safety inspection to see if this Ford couple will run 300 barrier. Or they tell the Ford driver to modify air dam or something else to prevent the airborne. Thats why I saw the pic of the Ford couple with the trunk lid open and no front air dam or the air flow will lift the Ford couple easy if over 200mph or more. :shrug:
 
Damn...that Ford better got enough balls more than the HEMI and Chevy tranny to take on the SSC Ultimate Aero TT-R (the current factory car land speed record holder at 256 mph)

Agreed!. They need an air dam! I wish them a real good luck driving at 300mph and enjoy a flight off the land :eek2: .

Another thought. Wonder if the jet were positioned a bit downward to "force" car on ground. If I were them, I would add air dam, air foil and some tweaking to keep car on ground.

Things don't really move that fast... despite all the policy changes, social advancements and technology... people are still fundamentally the same.
