anybody seen this show in NGC channel? I keep missing it! :mad2:

An EXCELLENT show, I agree. Part city law, part rural law, part game law and a ton of just trying to survive. Well done I think.

There is also a show on TWC called "Coast Guard Alaska" , not as good as Alaska State Troopers, but some pretty good real life stories none the less.
 
Haven't seen the show....but to note that I have the upmost respect for State Troopers, no matter what state.....I'd rather see a Police car behind me than a State Trooper!....(They rattle my bones!)

One did stop me years ago (minor incident on the expressway, no ticket), and I was impressed by :giggle: how immaculate he was dressed, and his professional demeanor....these guys are nothing to screw around with, they mean "business."
 
I have no respect for Alaska State Troopers at all. They are as crooked as they come.

In the last few years, they have been caught for the following activities:

*Drinking and driving in a squad car
*Taking a moose out of season
*Taking of an illegal moose
*Child Molesting
*Domestic Violence
*Rape
*Pedophilia
*Sexual Abuse of a Minor in the 1st degree
*Providing Alcohol to Minors
*Drug Trafficking
*Stalking
*Murder

And to top the list...

8 days after the law went into effect to stop texting and driving, the Wasilla POLICE CHIEF was reading his email on his phone and ran his squad car under the back of a truck.

Anthony Rollins, of Anchorage Police was raping women while on duty during traffic stops!

Former police chief of Anchorage in jail for child porn on his work computer, car computer and home computer.

These guys will pull you over for a burned out tail light while they have a burned out headlamp. Seriously. Happened to me.

Don't put these morons on a pedestal. They have an IQ rivaling that of a captive domestic goldfish.

Serious.

And to top it off, we have laws that state they shall provide a translator when they stop a deafie, and I have yet to see it happen- EVER.
