Then what the hell was Bush's mother doing walking around a stadium full of evacuees. I don't think you could call a trip to New Orleans after the disaster a "pleasure trip" for Gawd's sake. And we are talking about many times more American citizens involved in the New Orleans disaster than the number involved at Ft. Hood. They are two completely different situations. You cannot logically compare the two.

The U.S. has been in debt to China for any number of years. Certainly prior to Obama taking office. But why let facts stand in your way?

I normally respect Reba's opinions because she bases them on fact. In the case of the Fort Hood massacre, though, she is not being rational and even handed. Notice that I didn't blame the army? Now is not the time for blaming and finger pointing.

The debt to China will be there tomorrow and the next day, so why should that prevent Obama from seeing to our suffering troops and the families of the fallen?

How do you know that he isn't seeing to the families and the troops? Again you are assuming in order to support your opinion without fact.

No, sallylou did not make a comparative statement regarding the two situations. She spoke of New Orleans in isolation.
