Something tells me Jon Gosselin won't be partying at Legends nightclub tonight.
The most-hated reality TV dad is being sued by TLC for breaching his contract as the star of "Jon & Kate Plus 8."
The lawsuit was filed Friday in Maryland and alleges the father-of-eight hasn't met the obligations of his contract as an exclusive employee, has appeared on other programs for pay and made unauthorized disclosures about the show. (Jon is reportedly double-dipping with "Entertainment Tonight.")
And for those die-hard Jon fans desperate to believe he shut down the show for the benefit of his kids, this next TMZ scoop may sting.
The entertainment news site is reporting Jon's lawyer contacted TLC the day the network recast the show as "Kate Plus 8" and demanded that they release him from the "exclusivity" provision of the contract despite the fact that Jon was still drawing his full salary.
TMZ reports the suit claims Jon's laywer gave an ultimatum to either release his client from the exclusivity clause within one hour, or Jon would block the filming of the TLC show on grounds it was "detrimental to his children."
TLC may not the only party taking legal action against the single dad, who has been dating 22-year-old Hailey Glassman since July.
Kate is now said to be "disturbed" and considering some legal action of her own after the kids' former babysitter claimed Jon hacked into her emails, phone records and online bank accounts.
RadarOnline.com reports former nanny Stephanie Sanatoro, who was rumoured to have had an affair with her boss, said Jon bragged about hacking into his ex-wife's personal accounts and said he would use the information he found against her.
This hasn't exactly be a stellar week for Papa Jon, who was ordered by a judge on Tuesday to repay the $180,000 he took out of his joint bank account with Kate after it was deemed to be a violation of an arbitrator's order.
Between that repayment plan and God knows how much these lawsuits will cost him, Jon will certainly be forced to scale back on his Ed Hardy shirt collection. Let's just hope if there's anything left at the end he has another "epiphany" and saves it for the kids.
