10 Most Annoying Things About Dining Out

:giggle: Man, what kind of restaurants are you going to? Most good restaurants include some healthy selections. Our seafood restaurants let us choose fried, broiled, blackened, or grilled for each menu item.

Maybe you should ask when you order, "Is this item fried?"

If you're eating out, you deserve to enjoy the food without taking a Tums. :)

I, uh, live in the South. :giggle:

Yes I have learned to do that now. :)

I've never personally witnessed this, though on a reality show, it featured nasty and absurd staff that place nasty objects, or even body wiping of food that was returned. If I notice anyone with a shred of showing a behavioral problem, We're GONE! lol I will not risk my health with these individuals!

Yikes!

I wouldn't eat at that place again, and I'd let the manager know the reason why.

Done. It was a sad night the last time it happened. Was supposed to be a romantic getaway weekend that started this way. My wife was not a happy camper, and I was not totally aware of why at first.
Told the manager after the bill came. We paid in full, and skipped the offer of free dessert. Our choice.

I don't blame you. There was a story about a pizza company two employees handling the food inappropriate way. I forgot which one it was, it was awhile back.

I also look for the restaurant's DHEC rating on the front door. I won't go into any restaurant with less than an "A" rating.

One server I know told me last week that when anything gets sent back they are ordered to not touch the food. If they get caught doing anything nasty they will be fired. The manager/owner doesn't want to risk losing that "A" rating.

Thanks for pointing out the DHEC rating, I will definitely look into them - on top of questionable staff!

Oh, man, I miss choices... We have Mexican, diner chow, Meat (steak), Chinese (American version), fast food and Italian. We have one really good Italian place run by an Albanian. The rest of the places are all deep fried heck. We have some sushi at a local Chinese buffet. It is ok... but we only eat the nori rolls because after all, we are in the middle of nowhere and dont trust the freshness. Mind you, our Mexican food here is just incredible. Best ever, but all very crowded, lots of unattended kids, no one signs, all but two of the good places have tvs blaring (no captions!)..those should also be outlawed. I want to be with my group. If I wanted a TV dinner, I could do that at home. sigh.
