I was thinking about trade my PSP and Game Boy with games> trades to New Wii , so I don't know about the trade the old games to new one? :hmm:

You won't get much for what you trade in.

Sometimes, they will give you $1 to $5 for your games unless it's a game that's very high in demand. :dunno:

It won't be an equal trade or even close to an equal trade. They expect to make a lot of profit. That's why they will usually give you so little for your games.

I suggest you make a list of everything you want to trade in and the condition they're in (do you have the original box and manual that game with the handheld and the games?)... then take that list to several video game stores. See what they will offer. Sometimes, they're different. Sometimes, they're the same.

There are also other game stores like EB World and Console Game Exchange (aka CGX or CGE), which can be found at some malls.

Hey dont trade it in by gamestop. they really rip off your $$$.. They will give you little credits and they selling it for their more profit than you. I suggest you selling it on ebay and buy another game or something.

Please avoid from gamestop...

Yeah trading games at gamestop isn't really helpful.

My boys frequent GameStop a lot, buying and trading-in. Some good deals, some not!....Only on special occasions or good behavior do I buy them "brand new games.".....Always check the disc before leaving the store, tho'. Sometimes it's scratched and unplayable or it "freezes."

Games "come and go". New ones always coming out, and they get tired of some games after awhile. So it makes no sense to me to buy them new. We even get them at garage sales and flea markets.

GS wanted to selling me the used game/ item opened as new equal the new copy 's price. I told them , NAH, no thanks. they are TOTALLY rip off.. I want to get the grevious files against GS which broken policy or law that they are not suppose to practice selling used games/ item opened as new.

Thank you all! :) Guess that I am keeping it until worn out! :ty:

Yea, smart move! but i just encourage you selling it on ebay or Craiglists. then you buy wii console; and I bet that you will be happy and grateful for that!

Buy the used or new-brand games at GameStop is okay. Trade-in the games is rip-off and no-no unless they offer good deals or discounts.

Selling them at local flea market if there is a video game store available. I have done this before until I started to use eBay. Do same to stores by local or via online.

If box is sealed with plastic so you should be fine, just check if sealed with plastic before you go out.

I noticed Gamestop is selling opened box as new, it did happened to me before since sealed has cut it off so I got mad and argue so returned it for refund.

Yea It happened to me as well.

I just wasnt sure if the games were really preowned or new, but at the same time, I guess I was kind of glad the games work thou. I prefer to get new games wrapped in plastic thou. Sometimes I buy games from other retailers such as Target.
