Fingernails extend beyond fingertips.

Take that "fetus" out at 37, 38, 39 or 40 weeks and it becomes...presto..changeo...a "baby."

If you are referring to a fetus, it is not a child, it is a fetus, and it can't be killed because it has not sustained independent life. It can only be a terminated pregnancy. Potential stopped.

Many people who oppose death penalty do so because of legal reasons, not because they believed murderers deserve to live. They're more concerned about the legal judicial system - it's well known that we have put innocent people on death row and executed them. To solve that problem, we have to remove death penalty, even if a murderer himself admitted he killed them.

Two differences...the fetus/baby is entirely innocent, cannot have pre-formed thoughts of murder or other evil acts, nor can the fetus/baby plan ahead, and yet this viable person has not committed any crime because he or she happens to be a growing human being inside a womb but ends up getting executed/killed/murdered. They deserve a chance to live and live the life we were all given, a chance to grow up, obey the laws, and become productive members of society.

But for a person who commits the heinous act of pre-meditated murder(s) who was already given the chance throughout his/her life to obey the laws and be a productive member of society does not deserve to be a part of that society. Execution is warranted. The murderer never gave his/her victims a chance to live. A murderer is never an innocent human being in the first place. He/she forfeited that innocence the moment he/she planned for that murder.
