I just wonder if anyone with CI can ride at Amusement Park? (I know stupid Q's but I'm just curious) :hmm:

***I'm wearing HAs by the way*** ;)

That's good question. I just got my CI surgery last month ago. Lucia will answer your question. She went to Six Flag last years ago.

I dislike to ride "The Hulk" Because it's shake so hard on my head cause headache! I will never ride this again! I prefer ride other roller coasters. I can't remember it was called.

She went. That answers your question. CIs don't preclude someone from enjoying amusement parks.

I got it. :ty: I think HA and CI are the same and need get them off during ride. Am I right?

I wouldn't know about that. Better to let a person wearing a CI answer that question, Pinky!

Btw, my post above yours sounded a little snotty, but it wasn't intended to be taken as such. I'm sorry if I "sounded" irritated with you. I'm not. :)

I always remove my CI for rides because a couple of years ago my implant fell during a steep drop on a ride, it nearly went over but luckily a friend caught it, ever since I never use my CI. I always keep my HA on apart from really wet rides.

Hope this helps

By the way, NOTHING is ever a stupid question!! Happy to help!! :D

Well, it's strongly discouraged for people to wear CI on rides. It's the same with hearing aids.

Aw! No, I wasn't snotty at your post. I just being calm. Your post don't sound negative to me.. I won't bite you! Yes, Let someone will answer the question. yagnaz made this thread to ask CI the question. I was alike I have no idea and good question.

I dont remove my HA because it stays in my ear and it never gets damaged

I went to Universal Studio in Orlando, FL last year ago. I didn't wear my HA during ride. The weather was so HOT and humidity. I was involve with wet riding.

I guess your HA doesn't get fall off because of earmold locked. I never have problem with HA get fall off easy.

The people are different with their shape ears.

Thanks DLissa90 :)

off topic: me too, I took my HAs off from wet rides as well as roller coaster because I don't want to lose my HAs or damage because you know HAs is expensive.

I just leave my HAs at home or leave in the locker at amusement park because I don't want to hear all the crazy noisy at amusement park. Noisy like the rides or people screaming at every ride is annoying me. I like quiet in my ears while enjoy all the rides ;)

Anyway, I never had CI just HAs in my entire life. I thought CI is different than HAs. My friends are wearing HAs like me. I never met anyone with CI. So, that's why I want to ask any of you who had CI for the ride at amusement park.

I appreciate it, so that I can understand. ;)

Peace

Just use commonsense. It really depends on the ride.

I have been on many kinds of rollercoaster rides and nary a problem. It might be a different kettle of fish with a ride with lots of motion every which way.

I'm only speaking for HAs here, but I've never taken them off at an amusement park. Gravity holds them in place when on rides like rollercoasters, etc. I will however take them off if I'm at a water park!

A woman with a CI down the coaster....uh oh! (I drew this) :giggle:

She looks like she has teeth like those whales that strain plankton for food.

LOL! I noticed that...seems I forgot to draw a line between teeth but it's just a cartoon anyway, doesn't have to be perfect.
