So, please stay out of it. Either way, Iran's still bad.

"He may yet turn out to be the avatar of Iranian democracy, but three decades ago Mir-Hossein Mousavi was waging a terrorist war on the United States that included bloody attacks on the U.S. embassy and Marine Corps barracks in Beirut.

Mousavi, prime minister for most of the 1980s, personally selected his point man for the Beirut terror campaign, Ali Akbar Mohtashemi-pur, and dispatched him to Damascus as Iran's ambassador, according to former CIA and military officials."

I think when most Americans think about supporting the protests, they think of supporting the students and other common people in the streets, not Mousavi.

Yup, it is rather to be anti-government protest over election.

Right but the problem is that if they elect Mousavi, that means they elected a KNOWN terrorist who attacked US interests. Do you want a terrorist to become the president?

that's not the point. Both Mousavi and Ahmadinejad are bad men anyway. As I said in other thread - my problem with this issue is the spirit of election. it was rigged. and also - their handling of protests/rally. That's a :nono:

I never said that.

I support the protesters' right to peacefully assemble and protest the election process without being attacked and killed by government agents, and without having their communications with the outside world being cut off.

I said in my opinion at several threads and posted link about Shah´s son yesterday that Iranians should protest to remove religious leaders and vote form of Government.

There´re not much difference between Mousavi and Ahmadinejad. Relgious leader on Mousavi´s side and other relgious leader on Ahmadinejad´s side. No matter who won election but Mosavi &r Ahmadinejad are only puppet of relgious leaders (supreme leaders).

It´s my personal opinion.

Soooo...no matter how the election turned out, it would be one evil against another.

wow, this is worst to know that Mousavi was a terrorist and attack U.S. Embassy and Marine Corps barracks in Beriut.

The people itself created bad, not Iran country.

Right, that's why I think it's best that we stay out of Iran on election issues.

I suspect Obama's diplomatic attempts will fail.
