They're certain words that comes out of peoples mouths that I can not stand.

I am no saint. I do cuss as well, but seems some words are very offensive to me.

One word I absolutely hate is "Cunt"

Guess due to I was called that often, when I was married to my Ex.

Other cuss words does not bother me unless how they are used.

So what is a word that you can not stand the most.

i hate words like "policy" and "service" especially when it comes to the use of it is to control people fucking bureaucratic assholes!

I do understand about the policy.

"Well we can not do anything for you, due to it is our policy"

Yeah! It does pisses me off as well when one says that. especially when the policy is not fair.

Mine might be a little in relation towards specific derogatory terms, two in particular.

They are wang and gook.

It bugs me when I see it being spoken or used in a negative way, I just take note of it personally that the person who said it gets marked down a notch on my list.

I really dislike the words...

"I can't."

"No, Patty. You can't"

"I'm the boss."

"Listen to me."

"Behave."

"Don't talk back."

"Sit down and shut up."

Those words.. I don't listen to and really dislike very much.

I guess "Shut up" would be the word I hate the most. It is like the person is degrading my need to express myself when upset.

exactly

not only this affecting d/Deaf, but people as well it fast becoming dirtier and dirtier to a point its all very clear, if you got money we will serve, if you dont you can die and we are legally protected against 'institutional manslaughter' as i call it (wow i just made that up but it fits lol)

Yup!

That would be another one!

I had a (so-called) friend of mine that told me to shut up, in a heated discussion. She has done this over and over. One of her favorite thing to say to people. Especially when you say something that she does not want to hear.

Guess what??? I am still not speaking to her. One of my good friend called me and asked me why I am not talking to her. I told the good friend well... she told me to shut up. so that is what I did.

She just laughed and told me she does not blame me, I feel it is not fair when you sit and listen to a person on what they want to say. Then when you have something to say.. They tell me to shut up. Oh hell no!! I do not play those games.

"You're liar!"

"Think alittle!"

"*coughs*coughs*"

"I HATE ___________!!!!"

"That's gross!"

Those kind of phrases distracting me.

I dislike profane language, period. 2 words I hate the most are "F--- you" & "you suck"!.....As far as "Cunt"...I've never been called that, but if I was, he would eat his words.

I don't tolerate bad language in my house...I tolerate it to a degree among adults, but if someone uses the "F" word in every sentence....I'll walk off. It shows lack of class and IQ !!

"You can't be deaf and blind. You talk so well!"

"You can't be totally blind. You don't run into things like blind people do."

"You're amazing!"

"Don't act bipolar on me," "Calm down" or "Have you taken your meds?" (I HATE all of these statements!!! :mad2:)

"Do you live with anyone who takes care of you?"

"Are you dating or married to a man who can see and/or hear?"

"Can you read?"

Those are just some of a few, but I could go on...

I read the title of the post and that was the exact word that came to mind.

A lot of the words that I've come to dislike very much are said quite frequently by the guy that I mentioned in the "How To Avoid Someone Like This?" thread.

One of which would be "twat". It's stupid. He uses it constantly to describe everyone. Apparently my mother looks like a "twat".

The f-word naturally. That particular guy uses that word in every sentence. And I completely agree with the person who said that it shows lack of class and IQ. I'm not saying I haven't said it, but to be perfectly honest there are maybe only a couple times (7 or 8 maybe?) that I can recall saying it and it was almost always said jokingly.

Another one is "d*ck". There are two particular people who always refer to people as "d*icks" when they are angry and it's a poor descriptive word.

"Calm down" is another one I dislike. The same guy says it all the time and each time it is said to people it is always unnecessary... but he needs to have it said to him quite frequently.

Naturally, you can see why I want tips on avoiding this guy. Almost every word is in his vocabulary I dislike. If you have any advice, please go to the "How To Avoid Someone Like This?" thread. He's a *unique* person.

I hate:

"you're wrong"

"that's gross"

"You're lair"

I think that's all I can think of....

I dislike the word "Baby", even my husband said to me in the past many times. Now he don't do that anymore. Men have been saying the word Baby to many other women and that we are not special and act like the whore. Ugh!

Another thing is "Do you understand me" and expect me to understand the person when I could not hear what he or she was saying. I could have said no but the person might get angry when I could not understand the person. Geeze, what is wrong with hearing people?

The third one is that I was wrong or don't go for my ideas that Deaf people don't make the decisions on like jobs or planning on something special like birthday or party. I think they are jealous and decide to put me down. Hearing people think they are better than Deaf people. I hate those moments.

There are several words that I hate the most but at most, I would just shrug it off and ignore it. However, There's ONE word that I REALLY REALLY despite the most and it will get on my nerves.

This word I despite on the top is -- NEVER MIND.

As many of you have went through this with a typical hearing family/friends carrying into a conversation and this word "Never mind" comes in the picture - That is what carries the frustration towards it because you don't feel like you're included at all.

Also the other reason why I hate this word - Never mind - is because whenever this comes in the picture, I also would like to know what is going on, what is wrong, what's bothering you, so and on to get a better picture and to be dislodged by this is what annoys/frustrates me the most.
