Defendant Slits Wrists in Front of Judge

yes, he used to insert needles into his groin, and then remove them. Later on, he began inserting them so deeply that he could not remove them. He also beat himself with a nail studded paddle, and had an obsession with castration. He also suffered from religious delusions. The list just goes on and on.

Heaven's to betsy....to think these types of people "walk among us"!...I've never heard of Albert Fish....gonna goggle him....I've seen some really odd people, and I avoid them like the plague!

Years ago, I was at a club, and there was a man who was wearing a long black coat and a black hat, very tanned, and the lights were low, so it was kinda hard to see his face. But everytime I turned around, he was standing hearby.. in the dim light....he gave me the "willies" and "chillies"! I felt very uncomfortable and when I left that club, I ran to my car and locked the doors and left, making sure no one was following me....later on, I heard that a woman had been found, dead, and the last place she was at was that club.

A judge cannot declare someone "insane". That has to be done based on a clinical evaluation. The judge can only agree or disagree with the evaluation, and determine that a person is not competent to stand trial based on clinical evidence of insanity.
I meant to say "they" as in the jury or psychologists or whoever. I know the judge can't declare you insane.

Well the person was obviously in the O.P. was shown to attempt to manipulate the system.

You have to be declared insane before a trial. Not during a trial that a person has been shown to be able to stand.

Exactly.

Unless a person is declared mentally incompetent/mentally ill, their trial will not be postponed until further evidence can be collected to support this.
