That's an unfair comparison. Panetta hasn't been in politics as long as Pelosi has, so naturally Pelosi is going to have more strikes against her. Making this kind of an argument is like comparing George W. Bush to Obama.

*Sigh* My advice here is to say nothing until the Republicans can come up with evidence. As yet, they haven't come up with anything good so it's wise to take a wait and see approach.

If the preliminary finding shows that the report contradicted her statements, why haven't you copied and pasted it to this thread to back up what you said? Not everyone is going to goggle this stuff.

right and..........? Pelosi is Speaker of House since 2007 (the last 2 years under Bush Administration). You're telling me that Pelosi was NEVER under Bush Administration. That's where you're wrong. Obama Administration began in 2009.

So Liebling - who was the Speaker of the House during 2007-2009 - Bush Administration?

No, Dennis Hastert was House Speaker of 2003 to 2007.


Since Congress is dominated by Democrats... they choose one to be the Speaker. This seat has the power to oversee the legislation progress... meaning Pelosi has the floor and she can decide when the bill can come or not. That's why Bill Clinton had hard time with Newt Gingrich biting on his ass.

This seat also comes with several other important responsibilities. Some of them includes overseeing the committees regarding the wars and its process as well. And you're telling me Pelosi knows nothing about it? Apparently she's not doing her job. I guess she's been busy being a Princess flying around with a private jet at taxpayer's expense. :roll:

Remember, Nancy was a Demoratic leader (minority leader) from 2003 to 2007, not House speaker. She was not alone who want to agree or disagree something... No, Nancy can´t make decision herself against something. Many Republicians and Demoratic leaders voted for or against something (like bill, etc) .

Sorry, but I'm not going to risk being banned for flaming another ADer.

Besides, I'm very impressed with Liebling's knowledge of world affairs. She knows more about American politics than many American citizens do. For that, she is to be commended.

Very true. She definitely knows WAY more than me! I'm still trying to remember the name of our vice president.... We have one of those, right?

I can say the same thing about Liebling. She knows more about politics than I do and I've been studying politics since I was in 8th grade.

Don´t twist my post... It´s me who correct your post because you claim that Pespoi was house speaker in 2003 and accuse Nancy for say nothing against Bush Admin.´s decision. I correct you that Nancy was not House Speaker during 2003 and explain you why Nancy has no power to say something to against Bush Admin.´s decision for torture method.

Exactly that Pelosi was never involved in Bush Admin. like what you claim in your several posts... She was elected to become House Speaker in 2007, not 2003. She only stated that she KNEW the torture issues was used in 2003 and did not involved in this issues.

Nancy explained what she know. She claimed that she and Congress were being mislead by CIA and Bush Admin. It´s not just torture issues but WMD as well.

What I said to you is that I don't consider Wiki to be a valid source. If you choose to use it to support your arguments, that is your decision.
