i like her because she was smart and alot of people though that she was stupid but thar turn out not to be true.:wave:
 
started a "scrapbook" on her when I was little, ...dunno what happened to it....but she was beautiful to me, my idol.
 
In my opinion she was absolutely beautiful!! She was sexy but not slutty... and although for her time there were several scandals surrounding her, compared to todays 'starlets' she was so mild~~

Like the OP said she was thought to be a dumb farm girl, but she had pretty decent business sense~~

To be honest, my living room/media room is decorated w/a lot of Hollywood glam and movie items... including several posters and pics of Marilyn...
 
Yeah, she sure did.And the tabloids made a big deal of their affair, saying she was in love with both Jack & Robert....Also that dark "suspicion" that the Kennedy's had something to do with her death, since she was threatening to go public with the affair.

i agree. Poor her. i don't know why that i feel that she had too much going on her mind that she wanted to make public. Due to the kennedy thingy that drove her up to her death with no doubt.

I liked her because of the good pictures. :D

yep... honestly if JFK wasn't personally involved, I think someone from his 'camp' was... at that time that sort of scandal... WHOA!!!

There was a movie a few years ago that was based on her life that Poppy Montgomery played her~ (Sam from Without A Trace) was a wonderful portrayal...

Marilyn had lots of 'issues' when it came to her relationships w/men... but I guess honestly not much different than what some of us in 'the real world' have... just not highly publicized...
 
Personally, I dont know her but as an actress, I think she was talented. She will always be a legend and that's something not many people have the honor of becoming.
 
Yes, I enjoy myself to read her life and watch her movies.
 
Did anyone see the new photos of MM before she was a star? Wow , she was so beauitful and happy looking! The photos were just releash on the news yesterday. Yes , I like MM , it was so sad the way she dies.
