Another Maryland school just closed as of 430 today. Will be closed for up to 14 days....eeek!

There is possible swine flu about 50 miles from where I live ... My family live in that area too. It was at a college, but we can't confirm yet.

Be careful!!!

Yea, there is possible one less than 10 miles from where I live...(one of the Maryland schools that closed)...:ohno:

I checked the newspaper, and two of the college students, who never travelled outside of the college, have been confirmed with swine flu. They are recovering nicely, but I'm worrying about my son who keep getting respiratory infection, even over allergies. (he keep getting steroid and antibodies)

I'm not worrying about getting it, I'm worrying that my son could die from this because his weak respiratory system.

If you are still concern about your son then just pull him out of school for 1 week, you just need discuss with school admin about it.

You have rights to pull your son out of school for medical reason.

I've thought about that. but I'm going to talk to his doctor about that first.

Thing is. It is great that you will take the dr's advice. This virus is here. It will probably slow down like the virus of 1918. Which it did. Then flu season came along. That is when it go bad.

A week out of school is good if someone in your area been confirmed or suspected of having H1N1. Other than that. It will be around for a while.

It will be around for a while. May become dormant for a while since the summer months are coming. But who knows.

CDC has expressed concern for the up coming fall months.

Like you said. Best to ask the Dr that is caring for your child.

i saw on virus on sick

There's one employee at my workplace has swine flu and it is on same shift, she refused go to home and rather to work to get money.

I wasn't aware of it until my supervisor told me and I'm start worrying about my health.

I'm going pray myself.

refuse going to work, and demand that you stay the fuck away until that person and who ever in contact (at the time) is cleared too if youre that serious

Huh? Did the CDC confirm that the employee have swine flu?

I highly doubt that she would be allowed to work, if she has a confirmed case.

If this person in qestion does have a confirmed case of the swine flu, then why is your employer allowing her to clock in at work?

Not yet, it was suspected because her nephew has swine flu, that already confirmed and she made heavily contact with her nephew, such as hug and kiss.

Some employers are unaware of any employees who have swine flu.

Oh no!! I hope she doesn't spread it to you and your coworkers. If she does get it, and others at your workplace get it too then it would probably lead to your work closing to stanitize it.
