Interesting, that you think someone accusing me of child abuse is funny. I don't think that accusing people of having a serious mental illness and abusing a child is the something to laugh at.

That doesn't mean doctors are correct. My chances for survival were thought to be quite poor yet I survived -- and with minimal complications. I defied all of the expectations of my doctors.

You are right, and she did survive, and I thank God everyday that she does.

Yes, it is sad that your child was sick at birth. It is a shame that you did not have the same faith in her ability to survive as you seem to place in her ability to function as a hearing child with a CI.

I was laughing because I find Bott's honesty refreshing. It is something we aren't seeing a lot of tonight.
