Even the dog has gotten the attitude of despair. We may see more as in the great depression.

Tears and sadness and warmth...They have each other, thru thick & thin

I really feel so fortunate that my own dog truely loves me so much!

yea its sad. i am sure that dog is ok too. i was in NYC walking and chatting with my friends. The homeless who happens to be deaf and he brought his dog with him. His dog seems ok to me that they survives finding something to eat. He didn't ask me for money or anything but chat a little with me. Of course I gave some food to his DOG, not him. He did look please to see his dog being fed. His mind wasn't keen but that's his choice of being survives on the street.

You really wanna make me cry Jiro? this is so sad... :( At least they have each other!

Jamie

Awwwww! They are such so close to each other...that's special bond!

That is a very touching picture. Thank you for posting it. Good to see there are people out there who truly care about animals no matter how down-and-out they may be.

Makes me question why a homeless person would be caring for a pet to begin with?

Pets are a financial responsibility. If one is homeless--why have a pet?

which do you prefer to put dog down due to lack of finanical or survive as a homeless person taking care of dog and finding something to eat from the garage together and have a good company?

i am sure that lots of stray cats and dogs would love company especially!

Good chance the dog isn't even his. Could be a stray dog for all we know. I'm betting that dog could have just happened to stumble upon that homeless person and somebody happened to snap a picture ..

Well considering that it may be a stray or not, my question still stands. Who is going to pay for the dog's veternarian bills if the dog gets sick?

Secondly--I find the picture a little......gaudy. Afterall it looks like a little 'beastiality' is going on because the dog has its hind legs spread out and in the air, sitting on his lap.

because a dog makes a nice companion even for a bum. a dog can eat whatever the bum's eating. a dog can sleep in wherever the bum's sleeping at. a dog can shit/piss wherever the bum's pissing/shitting at. :)

same thing for any stray animals who dont see VET and they would suffer longer or short then Poof, they die. :(

I saw one homeless guy who pushs the shopping cart. His cat is sitting on it without leash. The cat walks around on the junk thingy in the shopping cart. The cat seems happy to be with homeless guy in NYC.

Common sense should apply here and we can assume that the homeless person isn't likely to pay for vet bills. He probably just appreciates the dog's company.

Oh, please ..

Nice way to ruin what was supposed to be a sweet photo.

Another word's--screw the veternarian for their work.

Sweet photo??? It's a disgusting photo of a man that is obviously demonstrating emotional transference to his dog instead of to a human being.
