Oh, duh, just got home from busy work. You're right about the wheels. Right now, I believe M113 is retired from the service of the US Armed Force and replace Strykers and Bradley. I haven't heard anything about the M113 in the sandbox. :dunno:

really? M113 is retired? I guess it's about time!
 
I don't think it's overkill. And I'm a classic definition of a "liberal."

What is dangerous if they use this for run of the mill stuff like drug possession busts. Wielding a sledgehammer like this should be only called for in the most dangerous of situations such as major busts or hostage situations. I imagine that they were able to justify such a purchase by pointing out situations that the department has faced where such a tool would have saved lives.

For me, though, I know where I'm going the minute the zombie apocalypse starts...... ;-)
