I am pooped out as well.

Went to Islands of Adventure yesterday. DANG! The Incredible Hulk ride was a thrill!
I usually don't do Roller Coasters but this one was far out!!

I though it was neat due to the Shows they had their all had interpreters and all their TVs had CC subtitles. They really do accommodate there.

forgive me but I have to ask. Why do you care about what your mother does? I mean... you're an adult and you have your kids & husband... thus you have an obligation. But your mom does not have "children" anymore so she's free to do whatever she wants. Since you call her a crazy, horrid selfish cow.... what happened? a short 1-sentence summary will suffice for me :cool2:

happened a few times :mad2: He has his own bathroom. He does his business indoor so we have a wee pad for him in other bathroom. sometimes the missile astray from target :mad2:
 
Hear Again is banned until 15th @ 11PM Central Time for "provoking admin & mod." Apparently - according to her email -

in the lounge thread alleycat said she wanted alldeaf to be a deaf forum to which i said that i was sick and tired of "big D" Deaf taking over and acting like they own ad. i also said that ad was for everyone -- terps, itp students, sighted-deaf, sighted-hoh, mobility impaired, blind/visually impaired, deafblind and mentally ill. i also said (and this is probably what got me banned) that if anyone wanted to report my post to the mods, then i guess i would be banned for the 4th time.

I don't think that kind of talk warrants a ban. Granted that Hear Again can get bitter but we all vent some hot air once in a while but most of time - we come to peace after some discussion. This is outrageous. I'm filing a protest. :mad2:

Why?

Sounds to me that she was enticing, provoking the Admin and Moderators....

From re-reading the post--sounded like that she did offend the Deaf community by this comment:

I personally think that as a member of the Deaf community--we been tolerant of her and her ideas and yet--still show ungratefulness by the above comment.

If she didn't like it--she could always start her own new forum. :)

It did happen to me in the past when I accidentally stepped on the dog's poops, which happened at night as a pet-sitter. It took me a long time to remove the poops from one of my shoes. Grrrrrrr.

Well, as a hearing member of AD, I have always understood that my presence here is dependent upon acceptance and tolerance by the people for whom this forum was created...the deaf. I am but a visitor, and a visitor can be asked to leave. JMO.

true but I don't think this warrants a ban because 1. sometimes we misspoke... 2. like I said - once in a while, we all go Christian-Bale-batshit-crazy (no pun intended :lol:) but in the end - we shake hands and let bygones be bygones. If that warrants a ban - then that will deter people from posting a strong opinion.. or to even say anything at all. I don't know what happened because I'm sure the posts were deleted but if Hear Again kept raging on after being warned... then yes she deserves it. I'm sure she misspoke but I don't know for sure.

Then take this into consideration-- Think you before you post. Double check your post before hitting the submit button. Double check your post for "anger" as that can cause trouble for you.

Individuals can still post strong opinions as long as they remember their p's & q's.

I have never wanted anyone to leave here, deaf or not. Everyone should be welcome here. After some thought, I realized earlier this morning that my choice of word "deaf" in my original post wasn't the right word - I should have used "interesting". Meaning that I come here to AD because I like the interesting variety of subjects here - whether they be about deaf issues, looking at the pictures threads, computer questions, reading the funny jokes, etc. If I wanted to focus specifically on pets or parenting, I would go to forums that are dedicated to that. But I come here because I'm deaf and there is ALSO a nice variety of other subjects here. My point was actually about that many threads have become dominated by specific subjects that have nothing to do with the OP or original thread, and that frustates me to no end. The number of PMs I've received over the last 24 hours, and over the last few months as well, indicate that many regular posters here feel the same way.

:wave: I know. That's why I said sometimes we misspoke. sometimes we get hot head. yes like Byrdie said - double-check your post for anger but we're humans. That's why I don't think H.A. deserves a ban.

I wasn't angry when I made my original post. Just stated my opinion.

As far as H.A. and your post in regards that she was "provoking admin & mod" there may be more that we don't know about. She may have had PM conversations with the mods that were provoking and got her banned. I don't know.

Agreed. One can have a strong opinion without anger being involved in any way. I do it all the time.

Exactly and we don't know and it's pointless to make assumptions because that is what they are--assumptions.
