Or smashed against the pavement?Amazing! On how fast we are actually moving! I can imagine if the earth made a sudden halt! We would be flung off to infinity.![]()

Or smashed against the pavement?
Their would be no pavement.
With the speed and force I'm sure everything would be disintegrated. And your eyes would end up on the back of your head!
We all pretty much know that the spinning of the earth is what keeps gravity.
If the earth does come to a sudden halt. We would be? GONE!
I'm sure the Earth will not stop spinning all of a sudden.
The interesting thing is to scientificly think of what may happen if it did.
the ocean movement does affect the speed of Earth (think sloshing movement). That's why it caused our atomic clock to be off by about a few seconds.

The earth spinning affects water movements and cloud movements.
Northern hemisphere the storms and jeties spin counter clockwise.
Southen hemisphere they spin clockwise.
Major earthquakes have been know to somewhat shift the movement of the earth by mili bili trili seconds.
yep. that was the traditional thinking. They largely ignored the effect of water on Earth, especially tsunamis.
Tsunamis are usually caused by Earth quakes.
But a major shift of large water mass. Possibly shifting the Earth somewhat.

This would be an interesting movie to mak
e.
the Day the Earth Stopped
It would be about a group of astronauts in a space shuttle. While they're sitting in space, they suddenly find themselves moving away from Earth at a high speed. When the manage to turn around, they see frozen decompressed bodies flying past them along with cars, trucks, and various other debris. When they land on Earth, they find everything destroyed. The end.
:Ohno:
the core of the earth is magnetic. the core of the Sun is magnetic. each core is powerful enough to generate magnetic force to hold each planet within its reach. that's why it's going around and around. the massive sloshing of water was powerful enough to interrupt the movement for even just a second.
This would be an interesting movie to make.

i don't think that will happen. they will die of shockwave blast.![]()
The shockwave would likely to shatter everything including the earth itself.
But it still be an awesome movie, and debris will be floating around.
Along with huge water masses, Ice astroids.
Astronauts would have to settle somewhere new to save mankind.
