Do you like your written sigature?

Mine was simple, and no Americans can copy mine since it is written in Russian. :-P

I used to do that. Then when I switched to signing my name in Arabic my dad told me that ignorant people would probably think I'm a terrorist. So I went back to Russian. <laugh> Somehow my Russian handwriting is better than my English handwriting. Something about Cyrillic alphabet just makes my motions more relaxed.

Of course now my signature is awful because I can have someone point to the X of the signature line but I can never get it right. So I usually just chicken scratch on the receipt. "There you go. There's my signature." <grin>

I do love my own handwriting signature... my fiance said wow your handwriting is so cute.. my signature has a little wings and little heart on it whenever I write on my check or money order or any papers... That's my personality.

have you ever tried using a signature guide to sign your name? i have one and it works great so that i don't have to ask sighted people to place my index finger on the "x."

Hm... I've never had that problem. Plus my signature looks illegible no matter what alphabet so I don't think anyone can tell. <laugh> If they do have an issue, I have no problems signing in English.

To be honest you probably wouldn't be able to tell my signature was in Russian. My name sort of looked like "Huka" in Russian, whereas in English it's "Nika." But if you did I would happily re-sign in English. No point in causing trouble over something so trivial.

it's a rectangular piece of aluminum or plastic that has a space in the middle for writing your signature. you place the signature guide on the line you need to sign and write inside its' border.

To be honest you probably wouldn't be able to tell my signature was in Russian. My name sort of looked like "Huka" in Russian, whereas in English it's "Nika." But if you did I would happily re-sign in English. No point in causing trouble over something so trivial.

Oh I understand. I'm just saying that rejecting a foreign language signature requires recognizing it's in a foreign language first. Plus I don't mind the policy. I just write better in Russian for who knows what reason.
