That is very sad :( the cargo hold SHOULD be waterproof in case the plane crash into river or sea. :roll:

While it's a miracle that no one was hurt, I send my sympathy to the animals who died thru the crash thou.

Amazing! The pilot deserves a medal to make an emergancy landing and keeping everyone alive. It was an incredible news for the day.
 
I saw it all on the news on T.V. Very Unbelieveable! Glad to see everyone's safe and sound. They are gonna investigate the plane crash. I dunno why these birds were in the way and plane crash at the same time. It's freezing outside. Dangerous ride I bet so.

oh no~ it sucks. That's so sad. Glad that the passengers and pilot are out and sound safely. I bet the passengers were upset abt losing their pets as well.
 
I agreed that the pilot deserves to get some medals for saving their life and warned them to get out of airplane as possible. Glad that the pilot warned them to be prepared to wear the lifejackets, balloonboats, and etc...

but then they will die of suffocation.
 
That's amazing how this did turned out well in the end. Everyone lives are saved. It is very sad for the pets. :(
 
What's bit eerie is that I frequently used US Airways to fly home from Virginia and the stop-over is in Charlotte. It's exactly like that plane (it is NOT comfortable at all). I guess this is going to bode well for US Airways in terms of passengers' concern for flight safety.
 
The reason pilot become hero because every passengers were panic and don't know how to do without look up on the instruct that it's always in the pocket in front of each seat. So, pilot had to point everything for them to bring out safety.

What was more impressive about this plane crash was the NYC's emergency response system.

Probably more equipped and better response after 9/11.
 
I was impressed with the pilot's resume. I was reading an article in the newspaper this morning that was critical of the FAA's forced-retirement rule. I'd rather fly with an older pilot who has more experience and education than a young one who looks like he just graduated from high school.
 
Oh my gosh! It is indeed a miracle that everyone survived the crash on the river. I have watch it on the news where all the people standing on the wing waiting to be rescue and then all the boats around them helping them on. It's gave me a teary eyes imagine what's going through their minds. I'm glad that they all came out of the plane alive. I hope they all will buy a lucky lotto ticket after their ordeal.

Kudos to the pilot, crew, passengers who helped each other, ferry boat captains, and professional rescue personnel.
