Here's my other two pet peeves:
1.) Two months ago, I went to the new dentist's office for my teeth cleaning. (My old dentist just retired. I know him more than 25 years. He was a good dentist. I will miss him... *sigh*) When my teeth cleaning was over and I went to see the new assistant for another appointment. She asked me if I need a ride. I said no, I can drive. She was surprised and said that she thought all deaf people can't drive, etc. I said yes, all deaf people can drive, can work, etc. She asked me if I work. I said yes and showed her my badge. She was surprised again. Duh...
2.) Deaf people wanted to know how much money I make? I told them that I am sorry that I don't feel comfortable to talk about my salary. Grrrrrrr...

Yes, I agree with you that cab drivers who should get fired immediately after the incidents and so, they can not work again as cab drivers in the future...
Same thing with me. Let me tell you a story about smoking issue. I wrote "George", the property manager a letter about smoking issue last year and again, a few months ago. Well, I have a problem with the next-door neighbor who is a heavy smoker but she is puffing a cigarette, not inhaling. Yes, you heard me. That's what she told me and the other neighbor. That makes me so mad because her smoking still bothers me a great deal because of my health and also, I don't want to get cancer from a second-hand smoker. (I had a surgery to have my partial thyroid glands removed 8 months ago. My sister got a call from the office to let me know that the pathology report's back and it's good. I do NOT have cancer. The report was "begin". That is good news!!!)
