Vending Machine Craze

I saw a soda machine that charged .50 cents at a non profit organization not long ago. I was like "they still charge that?" They were the canned and tiny water bottle version. Still, it's so rare to see .50 cents for cans.

I once bought the glass kind, and I thought they still sold those. Maybe they don't sell them so much because people go for the cheaper cans.

Would you believe it if I told you I buy pepsi or etc for 40 cents each can?

i can't remember the last time i saw a soda machine that sold cans of coke for .50. i'm guessing it was sometime back in the 80s.

alot of people like to drink 20 oz. bottles of soda too. i'm not crazy about having to fork over $1.25 for one, but at least it lasts me for awhile -- especially during a 2 hour 45 minute lecture where i need all the energy i can get. :)

Simple, if you're dressed up like a businessman... you can act like a vendor and walk into the back room! ;)

Of course, this isn't encouraged. :nono:

One problem, most people in backroom aren't dressed like a businessman. Not even the store manager is all dressed up.

A vendor (retail representative) is a person from another company that comes to Walmart (or other stores) to ensure that their products are being displayed/labeled properly and in stock. They also work with department managers to inform them of upcoming promotions, deals, and try to sell new products. These vendors are allowed into the back room to look for and check on their products in the back room.

Most stores have at least 100 vendors that come on a weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly basis.

Next time you go to Walmart, check the HUGE notebook located at the end of the customer service counter. It's full of sign-in sheets for vendors. ;)

Anyways, these vendors are often dressed up in khakis and polo shirts or button-up shirts. :)

When you said "dressed up like a businessman," I took you to mean in a suit or something similar. You are also talking about counter upfront. I was talking about near the breakroom in the back, not many are dressed up more than just slacks and button shirt in the backroom. Even the store manager only has slacks and button shirt most of time.
