So, therefore Obama WILL make mistakes, too. Will it be alright with you if, Obama abuses his power and, even thou if he makes a mistake ? :hmm: We will see about that after Jan. 20th.

Of course he will make mistakes. He is human. The question is not whether he will make mistakes, but whether those mistakes will outweigh his correct decisions. Unfortunately, with Bush, the scale tipped toward the mistake side.

Right. Do you think that it is okay to post somethin' to make fun of/look bad about a former president ? What's up with their conclusion and yet, they don't know what the outcome will be when Obama starts to work after January 20th, the one that they vote ? :hmm:

I didn't vote for Obama. ;)

We don't make Bush look bad. He managed to do that all by himself.

You didn't vote for Obama?:-o We're schocked!!!

Well, first of all... I don't think you understand why I brought that issue up. And, secondly people have the right to judge about how people handle things for this country - like for instance : people CAN protest against what they don't like to see or hear about candidate after become elected. They can judge.

I am NOT judgin' Hillary about her personal life - that is HER life, but how she handled things for this country -- THAT I can judge or opposed against. Do you understand ? I hope so. :)

They have the right to judge his actions. They do not have the right to judge him as a person. You don't seem to know the difference between the two.

Exactly. Bill Clinton refused to step down because he had not committed an impeachable act.
Clinton was impeached.
Behind a backdrop unique in historical terms, on Saturday 19 December 1998, President William Jefferson Clinton was impeached by the United States House of Representatives, becoming only the second President in U.S. History, and the only man popularly elected as President to have been so charged.

The House voted 228 to 206 to approve proposed Article I of Impeachment (Perjury before a Federal Grand Jury), and voted 221 to 212 to approve proposed Article III of Impeachment (Obstruction of Justice).

Although the impeachment process succeeded at the level of the House of Representatives, without the Senate's confirming action in this matter, no further action was taken.
President Clinton Impeached

Yes, but it failed. Therefore, he continued til Bush took office.

No No that's not the point. Point is - Reba is correcting Jillio's comment - "he had not committed an impeachable act."

Clinton was IMPEACHED (even though he was acquitted).... meaning this was an IMPEACHABLE act.

No need to correct me. I just saying it, that's all.

I'm not correcting you. Just clarifying Reba's post. Technically - it was an impeachable act but I don't think he should be impeached for it. But then.... that's up to people to decide. I'm surprised Bush wasn't even impeached.....

Oh ok. Yeah, I'm surprised that Bush wasn't, either.

Do you want to know my honest answer ? My honest answer is NO.

Ok, Why does you keep think about Obama would be fail or not quality for 2nd term since he's not in office yet?

Do you satisfied with Bush? I don't make any expect about Bush after got in office in 2001 and he was quitely ok during early 2000's but got bad in mid 2000's.

How can he possibly be worse than Bush. First off, he isn't even President yet. He is President-elect. And you have given him absolutely no opportunity to demonstrate what he is capable of doing for this country. Obviously, you are judging him on something other than his abilities. Hmm...what might that be?

:gpost:

And the fact that he was acquitted is testiment to the fact that he had not committed an impeachable act. One who is acquitted of a crime is found to be likely to not be convicted of said crime. A failed impeachment is not an impeachment, just as a failed conviction is not a conviction.

point is - he got impeached in due process... meaning means what he did does warrant an impeachment process. IMO - it's outrageous and a foolish waste of taxpayer's money.

If it had of warranted an impeachment process, he would not have been acquitted. But I do agree with you. Frankly, I'm glad the man with his finger on the button found a way to relieve his stress.:giggle:

i never said any president was perfect. what i *did* say was that i had confidence in obama. besides, *anything* is better than the administration we've had for the past 8 years.

Whilst Bush certainly had his faults, their are lots of worse governments around the world. Take a look at china for example. You can't say Bush was worse then that.

at least China didn't cause worldwide economic meltdown, unpopular war, and national debt.

China treats their people very badly. You have very few rights in china. In USA you have a lot more rights. Even Under BUSH.

For examply, you have the right to protest. You have the right to have more then one child and can either have over 18 children if you want to. Money isn't everything.

So it was only the Iraq war that was a major problem. Even so lots of country also went to war when they could have stood their ground and refused to cooperate.

so do countries under Islamic Fundamentalist. For ie - stoning women of committing adultery or even being touched by a man. They even stoned rape victims. :mad2:

China's had plenty of protests and political revolutions so it's somewhat ok. But as for Islamic countries, it's a crime to speak against government and it can be punishable by death. Have you ever heard of any political revolutions or protests in those countries? That's the country you should be angry at. China is nothing comparable to that. Even women have more rights in China than those countries.
