Snow season!!

I am not sure if I understand while reading, is the cross country ski like walking with the ski? Or just skiing on the flat instead of downhill?

If you don't know what it alike. I suggest you go to YouTube to see the video what it alike. Cross Country is for flat and hill not on a mountain like downhill ski.

Pinky, sorry I can't watch the video because I am on the dail up and it take forever for the video to be complete buffed, but I got it what you said, I believe I've tried that. Cross-country is good when I can drift on the flat, but it's not good when I have to push myself to go on skiing lol :)

i would love to ski again i ski when i was kid but stop afterwhile RME oh well
maybe soon i can go to CA and go with my brother and his family to Lake Tahoe YES lake Tahoe i wanted to see that place
maybe next winter so that time baby will be year old.

Oh. That's suck! Do you live in rural or city? I heard Cross Country Skiing is very tough than other ski and snowboard. is that true?

I live in the city, but the only place that I don't skin on the mountain is the areas around Lake Tahoe and Reno, but I mainly ski on Mt. Hood which are more peak so if I want the cross-country then I will have to ski cross the mountain, but if I want the downhill then I go down!

Cross country can be depends, if nothing can help you to go on skiing on the flat then it's very hard, but it can be enjoyment if you go from the hill to flat which help you go on skiing. It's just my opinon, some people can be different :)

Ah snow... have yet to get a good piling up of snow here.. hmm..

As for skiing.. wouldnt mind doing that maybe keep in shape somehow? Cross country skiing could be good to take in in some views of the land and ski around..

I have been snowboardin' at many places. [see in other thread in somewhere in Our World, Our Culture].

Pinky, Shaun White, i watched him ride at Tahoe for his pleasure and same time, giving autographs, its one of his tour. He's WICKED!!! Everybody was pushing security to get his stuffs, force ask of autographs, and trying to touch him. I didnt even get close to him but at least, i watched his ride.

i always wanted to try cross country skis...i heard that they're fun to do without any stress or so. its cool to enjoy the environment.

ALPINE MEADOWS, HERE I COME!! [in late november, probably around before thanksgiving]

Really? Everyone can't touch Shawn White?? Or give him a handshakes? That's interesting.

My husband mentioned close by our house or by Camp Mark 7 up in Old Forge area...never been there though. I've skied in Mass, CA and NV. That's all! LOL! Almost went to Vermont but never got chance to.

I was told to exercise before go skiing to prevent any sore. I don't know if that is really a fact. :dunno:

Cool! :cool2:

I've also been told to stretch my legs before skiing. I don't know if it's essential to do that, but I find that it helps me. :)

Alpine stinks, I'd go to Northstar or Squaw Valley.

I went to a lot of mountains; Mt. Shasta, Mt. Bachelor, Ashland, Squaw Valley, Northstar, Sugar Bowl, Heavenly, Kirkwood, Mt. Rose, Mt. High, Snowbird, Park City, and I've done some cross country in Lassen Park.

I'm a mountain wolf that lives in the snow.

according to transworld snowboard, Alpine Meadows is one of top 10 snowboard resort to hit. I'll go to Sugar Bowl because one of my close friend who works there, tend to give me free all the day pass, lol. sometimes it is advantage.

Speaking of Shaun White, they can handshake, brotherly fistkiss, take photos with him and etcs. That has to be during autograph session. Unfortunely, its limited. What i saw him, i know that he is cool dude.
