Everyone else is doing it, so I figured, "why not?" You have anything you wanna ask me, go ahead and ask. Word of caution, however, I may not answer all questions!

How did you become deaf?

Where did you go to high school at?

Where you were born in state?

I lost my hearing at age two by eating blackberries that were not ripe. That caused a stomach virus, which in turn caused a 106 degree fever. That fever, according to my father, caused me to lose all vital signs. I was revived in the hospital. My parents realized my hearing loss four years later, at the age of six.

I went to St. Martinville Senior High School in Louisiana. My parents didn't want me going to residental school, even though I asked.

I was born and raised in Louisiana.

How long have u been married before separated?

I was married to my first wife for nine years. The divorce was finalized on March 10. On March 11, I married my second, and current wife. My current wife and I agreed that seperation would best serve our interests now, being we now live 800 miles apart. We were married for three and half years.

Do they have a job and what about urself?

My first wife works for Louisiana Support Enforcement Services. My second wife works for Texas Child Protective Services. I am a full-time college student, but I do minimum-wage part time work.

I understand. Are you hoh?

How old did you learn ASL?

What southern foods do you cook?

If you have recipes--will you share them with us? :)

(I love southern food!)

I am medically classified as "profound deaf". Since I was raised oral, I didn't learn sign language until I was in college (my first time), and it was SEE back then. I'm in the midst of learning ASL right now.

To be honest, I'm not allowed to cook. I've ruined too many dishes. Also, I eat more Cajun foods than I do Southern. If ya'll want, I'll be happy to post some in the "lifestyle-health-fitness-food forum".

Wow. Are you happy to use ASL instead of Oral? Can you speak very well?

I am glad that you know ASL.
