Can someone tell me what the hand gesture in the pic below means? It's difficult to google a description of a hand gesture. Thanks for your help.

Interesting sign for shit lol.

Here in Australia, that sign means "Coke" the drink.

Thanks, lumbingmi and shezzbeav! Funny that the same sign can mean shit or Coke. I am in the US and saw this sign made by a guy today, seemingly about me. I was walking behind him and his buddy when he tapped his buddy on the shoulder to get his attention, made this sign, and then nodded towards me (no one else was around). His friend laughed. I followed them into the store feeling a little self-conscious, and as I was turning to go the opposite direction, I noticed him tap his friend again and turn him to look at me. I turned and gave them the evil-eye assuming he was "talking" shit. Maybe I was right, literally. I laughed about it on the way home and was curious to know what was signed. Thanks again.

In it's still form here, it doesn't mean anything. The person could be just beginning to sign something or in the middle or at the end. The hand positions as shown do not mean what was suggested above.

I will have to say, that seems such as a F-word in Bristish Sign language.

He was making the sign repeatedly. So he was making an L shape with his thumb and forefinger of each hand and then touching the web between his thumb and forefinger of each hand repeatedly.

Who is the person in the picture? Someone who doesn't know sign but is attempting to imitate what you think you saw? I mean it is close to a sign I have in mind but in the still picture above, sure there's the L shape with the thumb and forefinger extended but also on both hands, all of the other fingers are extended as well.....if all of the extended fingers were clenched and you have both thumbs and forefingers pressed together to form, ahem, a sort of a triangle, then what do you think you have now?

That is me trying to imitate the guy who made the sign. And no, I do not know sign.

Hmmmm, what would that be? Just kidding, I think the sign you are referring to is universal, even to an ignorant non-signer like myself. All of his fingers were fully extended and webs touching.

Ok, thanks, now I know enough to say I don't know to there's no such sign IF the sign in the picture is complete. Sorry

No need to apologize, Tousi. I really appreciate your effort. It won't kill me not to know. Thanks everyone for putting up with my silly post!!! I realize now that I am as bad at imitating sign language as I am at imitating Spanish!

I have seen that sign used for f-word, sh*t and da*n. It depends how one mouths/express it.
