Sony Blu-ray player is lower price between $249 and $299 now. I consider to choose Sony Blue-ray player BDP-S350 with BD-Live and Sony Blue-ray player BDP-S300 without BD-Live before purchasing. I know what s meaning for BD-Live. I think that not needing it. Do you know about BD-Live?

Info for BD Live
BD-Live™

It seems not necessary but worth it if you are interested to use content via online.

Yes. I know about BD-Live. not necessary for it.

BD-Live, so far I haven't really used it that much. Although I did order Sleeping Beauty which is using BD-Live in a big way.

So once I get to play with it, I'll let you know what I think.

Anyway, I have seen Blu-ray players for $199.99 at both Wal-Mart and Best Buy. Um, I recently saw a Insignia Blu-ray player which is Profile 1.1 for $199.99 on sale. The one for $199.97 at Wal-Mart is a Magnavox.

Both brands are known for cheap products, but their Blu-ray players seem to be well-built.

A friend recently bought a Sony BDP350 model which is Profile 2.0 capable. It's quite a nice product. I own 2 PS3 units. I may upgrade to a new Blu-ray player in the future but right now, I am quite satisified with the performance on my PS3.

Thank you, Banjo. you are right about BD-Live. BD-Live is not important. I can look ebay item of Sony Blu-ray player for cheap price. Wow, you have two units of PS3. $400 each right? I'm not intereseting to play video games.

I don't play much video games either. I do play some, but maybe every few months. PS3 is much more than just a video console which I am pleasantly surprised with. I have a 60GB model and 80GB model, the reason why I have two is because I have one HD projector and one LCD HDTV. So I have one hooked up to each mostly for watching Blu-ray movies.

It is also capable of streaming video (divx and such), music, photos, all sorts of stuff to your PS3 from your computers over a wireless connection. Also, at the time I bought them, they were the best value for the money. They are both 2.0 Profile capable while the earlier models weren't.

IF newest movie with high definition cost you about $4.99. If old movies with HD cost you about $3.99, just like Blockbuster. You don't have to go to Blockbuster to rent, PS3 have it ready.

PS3 do have internet, which you can surf alldeaf.com with a huge LCD screen, just like mine. :)

what is time limit for renting HD movie to use? I have 57" HDTV but not needing to use Alldeaf.com i now use it in my laptop and watch TV in each room.

I await for Blu-Ray player getting cheap much as $99 and the movies become normal price as DVD. Just same old day. :) Plus more movies as I hope for.

I find disappointment that most old movies wouldn't support 1080p to see crispy. Don't they?

Sony Blu-ray player on sale is $199 in any Circuit city store now. I can't wait to buy new Indiana Jones blu-ray dvd movie soon.

Hee, just to let you know, it's not Blu-ray DVD. It's Blu-ray Disc or just Blu-ray. :)

You can find Blu ray of any brand Internal DVD-/+RW Driv for your pc and hook it pc up with your HDTV LCD/or PLASMA. My Own PC hooked up with my beautiful HDTV LCD as entertainment for purpose! , but I will get blu ray disc drive for PC instead of buy blu ray player..

I just purchased new brand Sony BSP-301 Blu-ray player from Sam's club today. It costs $175.00 plus sale tax. Not so bad for this price. I rented "Iron Man" Blu-ray movie and tried to use it in new player for test. This picture was very clear in my HDTV and subtitle caption is very clear. Wow. I can't wait to get new Indiana Jones movie till October 14. :)

I rather to watch HD movie via BD over downloadable movie because of not want deal with long wait due internet speed and DSL in my area is max at 3 mbps, I have no choice to do but rather to watch HD movie on BD.

If any movies, usually SD from iTunes is less than 2 GB then that's fine with me, it take about less than 2 hours, not many of them are captioned.

I'm considered to be member of Netflix soon.
