Trayerade's Vlog report:
Sorenson requests that FCC re-consider their order.
I know that they won't want real 10-digital phone number.
Why would SVRS want to re-consider this? Just that is it too hard for them, no?
Sorenson Communications has filed a petition for reconsideration and clarification of certain E911 rules adopted in the Commission’s June 24, 2008 Report and Order. Sorenson is asking the Commission to continue to allow the use of proxy numbers; recognize that 911 calls must be routed over administrative lines in certain circumstances; and clarify the date by which E911 must be fully implemented.
You may read this FCC filing about it.

I read about that link you shared, it point about Proxy system that would impossible for VRS success. Without Proxy, how will remote where the interpreter we dial the VRS and where the interpreter come from?
Once one of us dial, it will remote the nearest VRS to their place where they can be reach...
Similar to wireless.att.com/learn/popups/push-talk-faq.jsp as Sorenson example of those...
Possible they try to make easier for 911 purpose... instead waiting for the interpreter on screen and then dial 911. I would rather just dial 911 and 911 get information ready and wait for interpreter ready...
Without information, it could delay...
If I understand what you talking about... please view CSDVRS's E911 link.
911vrs: now from CSDVRS
This link did mention if you dial 911 on your videophone, it will jump to priority. No how long the waiting time is... it immediately override and be first to capture an Interpreter.
Just view the link and review it because it explain a lot how it works. I am not sure if its official released as standard practice at this point.

Well, I need e911 system which automatically associates a physical address with the calling party's telephone number, and routes the call to the most appropriate Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) for that address, to dial on videophone. I dislike that wasting time to send info on address, city and state to VRS. I still wait to get new e911 system after December 31.
