Hey everyone, what is your opinion about cloning?

Cloning may be good reasons, unfortunately, a cloning is not completely a real flesh and blood. Just copy something else. It's hard for me to trust that idea... Hmm...

You might want to rephrase it to a more specific question.... assuming this is related to your paper about cloning agricultural animals. If that's the case - I don't see any problem with it. enhanced food... why not? you would be dead long before some DNA mutation takes effect of you. :cool2:

I think the ones they have done so far tended to get sick and have shorter life spans.

I used to think it would be wonderful if beloved pets could be cloned so I would never really lose them.

Now I think that too many other factors involved and it would not really be a guarantee of same temperament and personality.

I believe that during a cloning, they can modifiy your DNA to a stronger trait of DNA. I mean anything is possible, like X-Men

I like X-Men too. But it is science fiction. It is not really possible.

I have not learned enough about this issue to formulate a fair opinion.

It is for my paper, but I wanted to get the idea of what everyone's opinion on the subject. I also wanted to see what people think when I say cloning. My paper will not be about just cloning agricultural animals, but people too, human body parts as well.

Lamb was successful and I'm sure somewhere on Earth, someone succeed human cloning and probably made that person stronger by configuring his DNA. Probably our first Mutant Solider but ugly looking perhaps?

Is using stem cells to grow a new organ for viable transplants considered 'cloning?'

about stem cell / cloning human body parts.. hell I'm for it! Just so I can do MORE dangerous things!! :cool2:

Add more something to say...

Cloning tends to have a missing something if it's non original form.
I prefer to have a original something.

I do not want to see cloned pets... I don't think it's not fair to those original pets.
I don't think I want to have a lover who is a cloned human... :cold:

If you are able, what do you think about the health insurance, will it be pricey or cheaper cause you have clones now?

Would cloned humans have a soul?

good question but it depends on the cost of cloning a body part. If the cloning process has become cheap and commonplace... the concept of health insurance is no longer needed.
