Why wasn't a female chosen as a running mate to either McCain or Obama?

It seems like they're afraid to let a woman break through the glass ceiling.

But I really think they don't want a woman as a VP because she'd be inclined to run the country and clean up after his mess!

Do you think Chelsea Clinton will run for Presidency someday if her mother never makes it?

It's very obvious that they're grooming Chelsea for it. I think Clinton would actually be able to pull this off. Let's see -

Hillary as Prez for 2012 or 2016. Chelsea as Prez after she's 35 years old. That'd make it first time in the history for a whole family to be Prez. who knows? :dunno:
 
We don't get to choose the VP nominee. That goes to the Presidential nominee.

Also, no more Clintons or Bushes in the White House. We've had enough of those families.
 
Well... I don't think it would look good for a male candidate to have a female running-mate, unless they are willing to put up with all the rumours and whatnots. This country is not ready for that change anyway.

Says who? Look at many other countries with female presidents or prime ministers. It is American MEN who are not ready for the change, not the country as whole.

American men just wont admit that we women can rule this country as efficiently as they can and furthermore, can even do it much better!

It really wouldnt matter much Gemma. Look at the few women in politics today. You have to give up every beautiful thing a woman stands for in order to reach that position. There is no femaleness in them anymore. So when that days comes, the female who will take that seat will not be the woman you hope she is.

Hillary's campaign started out ok until she got into the negative campaign tactics, mainly allowing her surrogates to go nuts on attacking Obama. That's when she lost.

at least I didn't criticize fellow ADer. No need to look into my predictive power. it's all the same. same pattern. same same same for years. You thought Hillary was all godly and great until she resorted to negative campaign tactics. Like I said - they're all the same. They will fling shit at each other, no matter what. Obama will probably do same as November's coming closer. If not - well shit that's good, isn't it?

Uh, your crystal ball has failed you this time. That is not what I thought at all.

And I believe the criticism was of Hillary Clinton. The last I checked, she wasn't a member of AD.

And I didn't look at Hillary as god-like. I wanted Edwards and now, I'm glad he dropped out.

and I wasn't talking to you because I sent you to the corner because you obviously do not know how to behave. Edwards was my original choice too. fuck that he dropped out. fuck that he didn't do much during his campaign. all he did was smile and laugh among them like he's their best buddy. oh well. i guess he's just too nice... which is what we need to repair the damaged relationship with the countries.
