White Americans no longer a majority by 2042

oh oh oh one more thing jillio.... I highly encourage procreation of mixed races! Don't you know the mixed-race females are HOT??? <melt> :hitit:

I am not surprised about all the illegal immigration we have had in this country. The Mexicans know all they could do is to have babies and cry, how their children are American-Citizens and they shouldn’t be deported. Around here, I have rarely ever seen a Mexican lady who IS NOT pregnant.

Before youse start calling me a racist or whatever -- I have no problem with anyone coming into this country if they did the right way to live in the country.

This is kind of premature to foresee the future, but this could change such as some states such as New Jersey, Texas, Washington and even Kentucky deciding to secede from the United States.

Illegal immigrants aren't counted into census.

Majority of hispanics are legal immigrants.

Yeah, I can see that... Totally understood what you mean... =/

I know all races, except Whites, are really tired of White race as majority, and now they are very happy when Whites became longer no a majority. So... I, too, wonder will I allow to express if I am a part of minority in the future? I'm kinda of afraid that some limited things will come up to my life in the future... ...unexpected. I don't like some things will happpen to my race, the Whites, and inculding myself and you, Vampy.
In the note - I'm not try to be meany racist... It's just how I feel about we, Whites, become a minority in the future... with, probably, some limits.
Yeah. I never really see the point of race.

It does bother me when they use their own race as an excuse for doing something.

It's things like that that makes things harder for others of the same race.

I knew a couple black guys at NTID who were upset because they didn't act like many other deaf blacks, but a lot of NTID students assumed they were the same as all other blacks. That's hard to shake off, but it does happen.

It happens to me sometimes when I'm dealing with a hearing person who's been mistreated horribly by deaf people. One hearing guy assumed that I was snobby. I later found out that every deaf person he met was snobby and it was hard for him to shake it off, so he made that assumption with me.

In meeting with black folks who'd gone to a residential school for the deaf, I'd found that (by their own admission) they were not "black" enough for their hometown peers. Institutional standards are not accepted by the black community? Now, really . . . I see no wrong (can see faults) with the institutional approach to life. For my black peers, I see that it scars them on both sides of the spectrum.

This country was built by immigration and while some folks don't always follow the rules (read: illegals), they do the jobs that no one else wants to do. That's why White Americans should stop bitching because at one point, they were a minority in this country (the 1600s-1700s).

I just think it's pathetic that people continue to attack illegals for all of their problems.

why can't people view us for what we really are... we are one race ... THE HUMAN RACE...

I agree!!!

However, I guess it is human nature to label and categorize ourselves. I admit I do that sometimes.

I agree. I think the greater concern is in that immigrants do not seem to be assimilating in the current culture. The transition usually happens within 2 or 3 generations. With a huge influx, people get worried about losing what they've held dear for so long.

My daughter is 3rd generation Mexican and her Nana is very upset that she is not fluent in Spanish and that she doesnt hold Mexican values as much as she holds American values.

For me, it doesnt matter what my daughter identifies herself as, as long as she is happy, confident, and proud of herself.

why? heterogeneous race survives better than homogeneous race - lessening the likelihood of the genetic disease. There's no pure race because that would imply that some humans are chimera :laugh2:

Culture is associated with where you live, not by your skin color. Any race in that location can preserve the culture. A white/black man born in Korea can live/act/speak/write like a 100% Korean so in essence... the Korean culture is preserved - regardless of race/color.

That is true in my case...I grew up in a predominately Mexican community so therefore, I hold some Mexican cultural values to my heart even though I am not Latina. I feel very connected with the Latino community more than the white community.

Funny, my ancestors were immigrants...from Germany, France, Poland, and Hungary...

Yea? A lot of people think that way.

Guess both of my kids will be popular with the opposite sex when they grow up. :giggle:

I've never met an ugly mixed-race person. They're physically beautiful. Could it be the exotic properties that attracts me?

The Mexicans just have babies and cry?

Interesting..my ex hubby was born in Mexico and moved to the US when he was 5 along with 4 of his sisters and 1 borther.

Oldest sister got a MBA in Business and owns an International shipping company earning millions a year

2nd sister is a Medical Lawyer

3rd sister is a Head Nurse of a major hospital

My ex hubby runs 3 regional Target stores

4th sister is a housewife married to a Mexican who manages a major plant in Phx

youngest brother owns a contracting company and is very successful despite dropping out of high school.

My ex-hubby's mom worked like a slave working 3 jobs at some point to give her kids all the opportunites in education

Yea, they were migrant farmers and lived on the streets from time to time but they are a SUCCESSFUL story.

Not all Mexicans are like the ones u described.

My half brother is a Mexican and my daughter is a Mexican so what u said was very offensive.

Yes, there are some lazy Mexicans just as there are some lazy deaf people, lazy whites, lazy blacks and so on...

I hate stereotyping...grrr!

My hubby grew up being rejected by the black community cuz he didnt act "black" enough. Go figure!

Never met any Mexicans but I do work with some folks from Vietnam, China and Turkey. Very nice and hardworking people. They work harder than some of the folks I know.

I can't say anything good about the Mexicans I have met. Like many, I keep them at a distance and for jobs I can't get nobody to do. My bias is based on numerous interactions.
