unfortunately - it's here to stay for a long time and Supreme Court upheld our gun rights. I guess there are not enough Americans with your POV

No matter about law etc... but many Americans has the right to express their POV.

No, this man do not know how to respect each person's different POV. It shows itself as an ignorant and arrogant.

You took it too literally. He's merely stating an irony.

No matter about law etc... but many Americans has the right to express their POV.

and the Americans have spoken... therefore our gun rights/death penalty/etc. are uphelded. sorry buddy. better luck next time!

well your views are undoubtedly Anti-American... to be more accurate - "un-American" (but not toward to American people, of course not). However - if you were an American with anti-American view... we usually call you a socialist.... which is what McCain calling Obama and sadly... it's somewhat true but it's very complicated to wrap your head around it... especially for ultra-liberals. :laugh2:

It shows itself is disrespectful, narrow-minded, ignorant and uneducation because they don't know how to respect everyone's choice/POV.

So yea it's nothing to do with "anti-foreigners" because that is usually racist - a xenophobic. The terms "anti-American" and "anti-European" are usually what describes the nation's lifestyle, government system, etc.

Yes it's do with anti-foreigner. If you accept me as a human being, not see where I come from when I debate with you in respectfully agree to disagree way. Example: I express my POV over US political system like most Americans... but I was being accussed as an anti-American etc because they know that I'm an European.

For example - Europeans are contented with the whole concept of Orwellian Society but Americans are not. Europeans are peace-loving people and strongly believe in diplomacy even though if the diplomacy with certain nation has repeatedly failed for several years. and the Americans? "my highway or the highway" :cool2:

:ty: for know that Europeans are known as peace-makers. ;) Your post show itself that Americans are not well-known as peace-makers.

No, I can see that you don't want to see the truth is his manner behavior toward me which is not a first time. You need to focus instead of jump on me and Puyo... Puyo has to stop him because he know his rude and disrespectful posts toward me in the past. I appreciate Puyo for know how and what he treat me like that.

Is it forbidden to express POV or what? If Americans want speak then let them... Respect them instead of think about yourself.

It shows itself is disrespectful, narrow-minded, ignorant and uneducation because they don't know how to respect everyone's choice/POV.
but I say the same for people with your POV - ignorant, uneducated, narrow-minded.... it's same for both ways :dunno:

it's funny. for a foreigner - we call it "un/anti-American." For American - it's "socialist or communist". For political people - it's "left/right-winger" or many other names... oh well it just never ends.

:ty: for know that Europeans are known as peace-makers. ;) Your post show itself that Americans are not well-known as peace-makers.
uh uh uh :nono: That's not what I said. I could mean that Europeans get nothing done by talking. Americans take initation - a hardliner approach. Just look at Somalia and Afghanistan. We saved their ass from tyranny.

:dunno: oh well - sorry if Puyo and you took it as rude and disrespectful.

same for you. try to respect and understand our views about why we want death penalty, guns, etc..

Can you show me where I insult Aders in disrespectful way as those example like that... silly, lack of logic, inexperience..... "Again, silly lack of any logic from one who obviously dislikes the U.S., even though employed by it. It's known as "biting the hand that feeds you. Naturally a strong, experienced candidate is wrong for such a mindset, and an inexperienced showboat kissing up to Europeans who want a weak U.S. is the best person ." ? I don't do that to ADers but respect their POV and can disagree with their POV instead of insult them. Is it really POV? No, but insult and offensive. If I want to debate with you then I can agree to disagree with you in respectful way instead of label/insult/belittle you as an silly, lack of logic, inexperience, etc. If you don't understand the difference then I can't help you.

I'm not a politican but a civilian. It means that you are ignorant and arrogant if you call them "socialist" or "communist".

I don't bother to debate with you over this issues... because your post tell itself.

:dunno: oh well - sorry if Puyo and you took it as rude and disrespectful.

No, you start to look for an argument because you don't like that Puyo quoted Chase's rude post toward me.

same for you. try to respect and understand our views about why we want death penalty, guns, etc..

Huh? Respect should go both way, not one way. I respect you and your POV over death penalty and guns but it doesn't mean that I disrespect you when I want to disagree with you over those issues. Its about debate with respectfully agree to disagree, not take personal or insult/bash......

oh well... you took it as offensive and insulting but to me - he's merely stating an irony and a funny POV. I don't see anything offensive and insulting. :dunno:

I'm not a politican but a civilian. It means that you are ignorant and arrogant if you call them "socialist" or "communist".
But it's same for others too. don't you get it? Otherwise you're telling me that you are more right and know better? Isn't that ignorant and arrogant too?

oh well... you took it as offensive and insulting but to me - he's merely stating an irony and a funny POV. I don't see anything offensive and insulting. :dunno:

We have different POV over those manner behavior posts. To me, is not POV but belittle and offensive.

I'm not talk about others but you because it's you who quote my post, not others. Anyway, please re-read my post carefully... I said IF. I only ask/answer your post because you brought those word up in first place. :dunno: ....."Liebling's post It means that you are ignorant and arrogant if you call them "socialist" or "communist".

Well you know he is an English professor. He has no need to resort to belittling you. His ironical statement does it better. Sorry if you could not understand it.

As English professor doesn't mean to be prefect... No matter either he is professional or not. He is human beings like everyone. I'm sorry if you can't understand the difference between human beings and human doings.

Yup, he isn't better than us, though, I just ignore his post because his sentence is really hard to understand sometime.

Well he is English professor and we both know he does not speak in layman's term. His message is short yet pertinent. It's like reading a wisdom from fortune cookie at NY Times level. Then I'm sorry you could not understand the advanced literary level of American English well.

Trust me - He wasn't insulting you at all. Just stating a funny irony in a complex way... and also to point out the hypocrisy in your part.

Unfortunately, I was going to vote, but under the circumstances, I just moved out to an out of state. I'd rather getting to know State/local politicians first, though. Both McCain and Obama do not impress me at all. Ah, the lesser of two evils principle!

I was reading Obama's Illinois Legislative Voting Record. It was interesting..

ABORTION:

SB 230 (1997)
To prohibit partial-birth abortion unless necessary to save
the life of a mother and makes performance of the procedure a Class 4 felony for the physician.

Obama's vote: NO

HB 709 (2000)

To prohibit state funding of abortion and induced miscarriages except when necessary to save the life of the mother. Excludes premature births from funding except to produce a viable child when necessary to save the life of a
mother. Would permit funding in cases of rape or incest
when payment is authorized under federal law.

Obama's vote: NO

SB 1661 (2002)

A part of the Born Alive Infant Protection Package. Would
create a cause of action if a child is born alive after an abortion and the child is then neglected through failure to provide medial care after birth.

Obama's vote: NO

CRIME

SB 381 (1997)

To require prisoners to pay court costs for frivolous lawsuits
against the state.

Obama's vote: NO

SB 485 (1999)
To give no offer of “good time” for sex offenders sentenced
to the County Jail.

Obama's vote: NO*

*Obama was the only vote against this measure

Well, very few Americans would not accuse me as an anti-American if I'm an American don't they? All what I see in them as an anti-foreigners because they do not see me in human being but European. It mean that I as an European should not express POV like most Americans.

Well due to our racist history, some of Americans still feel like other people that have little different is a big deal to them. The diversity is very poor in quality here in America, that's why we took the racist, homophobias, etc so seriously. I don't really understand why some of Americans act like that myself too.

But remember, not ALL Americans are like that :)

this man speaks the truth. no doubt.

Was it true that European countries have an envy of us? Or wasn't they one of our best allies? I am sorta of confuse here..

plenty of Americans with same POV as liebling, you say? funny.... last time I checked - we're a gun-toting country with death penalty and many more that'd infuriate/shock Europeans... not exactly what Liebling likes :hmm:

Liebling support pro-choice and we have one group in America.

National Abortion Federation (NAF)

Liebling are against the guns and we have one in America.

Anti-gun group: 'We want futures, not funerals'

Liebling support universal health benefits and American President Candidate Hillary planned that.

Liebling tend to support the Democrat compare to Republic, and the Democrat are the second largest party in the America and tend to win in the half-half competitive with Republic.

Keep going!

No problemo, Liebling! :)

Well he is English professor and we both know he does not speak in layman's term. His message is short yet pertinent.

His visit to any Forum as a private person, not as an English professor.

It's like reading a wisdom from fortune cookie at NY Times level. Then I'm sorry you could not understand the advanced literary level of American English well.

If he still act as a English professor to belittle anyone, not as a private person as himself here in Forum then is his ignorant.

Again, I'm sorry that you can't understand the difference between human beings and human doings.

Trust me - He wasn't insulting you at all. Just stating a funny irony in a complex way... and also to point out the hypocrisy in your part.

To my view, his written manner is a harsh which is an insult and offensive. I'm not only one who view his written manner. FYI: His written manner is not form of English Professor but himself as a private person. If he want to disagree with me then say in polite manner instead of attack and belittle my POV as "lack of logic, anti-american, inexperience"...

If you say this yourself, not me. It doesn't mean that I'm hypocrisy when I express my POV over canditation presidential qualitifiction. Hypocrisy? It's your interpretation view on his written manner. I see it different as you... My POV is over his writing is antiforeign antiforeign - Definitions from Dictionary.com because he made me feel unwelcome to American Forum because I'm an European. Someone have the same view on his written manner. He would not say this to Americans if they have same POV as me.

I'm sorry that you have the problem to open your mind to see the logic.
