Police: Officer fired for demanding free coffee

He watched one too many Sopranos...

All this remind me of the bumper sticker I saw few years ago that says "Cops: Just say no to donuts" :)

Guess this cop want coffee to wash down those donuts.

I have also seen one "Bad cop, No donut" that might apply in this case!:giggle:

I agree with some of you that he deserved to be fired... but... but... but...

I am trying to say the example about 50 shooting to unarmed man to death is an unprofessional... They didn´t fire him but they CAN fire him for demand coffee for free... I just cannot understand the difference...

I know what you're getting at, Liebling ... yes, he deserved to be fired, but the serious offenders are let off scot-free while the minors get fired or a jail sentence. Stupid rules! *smh*

A state trooper around here got caught with two marijuana plants growing on his back yard (imagine that!). They'd gone the whole mile with this trooper, stripping him of his badge, etc. There was a concern that, because the trooper was caught doing a crime, his cases where he'd made arrests were suspect.

I wonder if that would happen with this police officer's past arrests.

It could certainly be a possibility. Like, arrests for trumped up charges for those that failed to comply with his "demands".

mostly police officer know what to do must pay coffee at starbucks or stores but coffee not FREE!

That cop deserved to be FIRED! Coffee is NOT FREE! He has to pay for his coffee just like the rest of us. Just because he is a cop doesn't make him better than the rest of us.

having actually worked in the fast food business before i know that cops sometimes do get special treatment and will get like a free meal or something like that as long as they are on duty. but it's different for each business..i've never worked for starbucks so i don't know their policy.. however..at mcdonalds....wendy's ....and burger king cops get special treatment here... i guess it's their way of saying "thanks" ....on the other hand..a cop demanding free coffee and cutting in line...is complete and total bull and i do agree with his being fired especially with the threats. that's just stupid.

i've gotten free stuff from starbucks before ^^; they had made an extra drink once and asked if we (boyfriend and i) wanted it and we said sure. just to try something new (forget what it was didn't care much for it) and there was one time where our drinks were already made and embarrassingly our cards didn't work and we didn't have any cash. so they gave us the drinks anyway. of course we go there constantly. >_>
