Sorenson via PC?

Does Sorenson via PC (rather than using a TV) really work?
Can someone please let me know?

I've use sorenson Envision SL before. You must use IP address to connect to friend's or family's Sorenson VP100 or 200. Before FCC ordered Sorenson to stop using 10 digit VP phone number dialing for Envision SL. It was wonderful vp software until after FCC, it sucks big time now. It is still useful to call. You'll have to ask your friend or family member through AIM, Text, or Email to give you their IP address so you can call them. IP address can be obtained through either What Is My IP Address? - IP Address Lookup, Bandwidth Speed Test, IP Info, plus more or thru VP100 or 200 settings--Network-- Public IP. If you are calling from Envision SL to other Envision SL (webcam chat). I must remind you that there is a Gateway issue. If you had your PC directly connected to Cable or DSL modem, You won't have problem with gateway. BUT If you are BEHIND Router, You'll have plm. So does user on other end of the line too. It have to do with receiving calls. Like if you are behind router and someone tried to call you thru their VP or webcam, You wont be able to receive calls.

I suggest you try Free Video Chat and Video Conferencing from ooVoo It's a nice software that works very well even behind router and it functions just like AIM, Yahoo, MSN but it pop video if you click one of your buddy to chat, not text (oovoo does have text but must run video first then text). It just a oovoo only buddy list. It won't conencts with VP100 or 200 but works well with webcam chat if someone on other end of the line installs oovoo software in their pc or lappy w/ webcam.
