I'm going move the game folders (3 of games are in) to 1st HDD and allow to install Vista on 2nd HDD, if all of 3 games are messed then I will uninstall and re-install it later.

I need find good bootloader to allow to boot into XP or Vista.

Wish me a good luck, it will be more complicated than install Vista on Mac via Boot Camp.

I found drivers from Dell website, also driver for graphic card from GeForce website.

I wish I would know more about XP and Vista. My husband know it a lot than I am. He is a computer programmer. He is using XP through his macbook. Because of his school. Sometime XP can be mess up with Macbook and have to do Re Install. He have to be careful with it.

Yeah your mac is allow XP and vista can install on your mac.

I guess you will find an answer from everyone post you.

Hope it help. Good luck!

Oh, I had found out after installed Vista so successfully.

It does have boot option included in start up, let me to pick XP or Vista and have 30 seconds to choose it then boot it, I had tested with both of them so it worked fine.

Vista is runs so unstable on my PC, I had grabbed empty CD and downloaded some of drivers from my MacBook Pro then installed some drivers and it run alot better but still run like little weird, I'm currently downloading the Vista SP1 and other updates to removes the most bugs.

2 of my games (UT3 and Quake War) were messed after moved to 1st HDD, I'm going to uninstall and re-install after working on Vista.

Ok. Do you want me to ask my husband for question about Vista and XP? I will let you know when I get home from Festival. My husband will be home from out of town soon. I hope it will help you find it out from everyone's post you. I know everyone are not on ad for weekend.

P.S. I know Mac can't get virus. That's why I like Mac than PC. We have Macbook and Dell with flat top. It's new!

I bet your husband use Microsoft virtual 2007 for his laptop.

My coworker used Microsoft virtual 2007 for his Vista laptop and I used Microsoft virtual 2007 for macbook. We have lot issue with Microsoft virtual 2007 like lag, slow, unstable, and mess up our laptop. So we removed it and install Vmware and MUCH BETTER than MV207 for stable and run smooth. Now I can run Vista and XP at same time at my macbook and run smooth.

agreed. virtual pc is a joke

No. You're wrong. He already told me what is processor do he using. He said it's his private because it's advance. I can't share with you and anyone. I am sorry. I have to respect my husband. Because he is a computer programmer.

He is not using MV2007. He said that MV Pc is not used anymore. It was before the intel processor came to the Mac. Back when they are running the power PC processors from IBM. That was processors were G3, G4 and the G5. Then then Intel processors came out for the mac and that's why they can run windows better than a pc. Because the processors has an architecture to be able to run those type of programs. The intel and AMD chips have a certain kind of architecture to run the NT file system. They can only run the 32bit systems not the 64 bit systems.

Pacman, I am not saying you have to do it. I just telling you. My husband said if you want to pick a best XP or Vista on your macbook. It depend on processor and Ram do you have. If you do install both of XP and Vista in same time. It will not enough powerful. That's your choice if you want to run vista on mac. It up to you.

I recommend Acronis Disk Director for Boot Manager, it will do work with XP/Vista/Linux etc..

Hard disk drive management software, partitioning manager and partition recovery utility

Also you may want to consider Acronis True Image as well, I use them a lot for quick recovery when I test out new software.. It has roll-back function (try&decide) in case it mess up your OS without need of reinstalling OS.

My Macbook use Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2Ghz and unstable on MV2007. You are right MV2007 don't have Intel yet. I am very happy to use Vmware Fusion and I can run Vista business 32 bits and XP Pro sp2 at same time due dual cores. Both run smooth and hard to see lag on my laptop.

Picky? I have the question for you. Why not you encourage your husband to sign up for alldeaf. It does not work if you have a double personality. Lurking around. :hmm:

No, I don't have a double personality. You're silly. That's not his personal to sign up for AllDeaf. I know what is his interest to do is researching a new technology, facebook, twitters, blogger, flickr, many different things. I am honest with you. He don't really like get into drama. I guess I suppose not join to AllDeaf to talk with immatures people and drama. Ohh well. I just want to express my feeling and experience from everyone else. If I saw someone mention about computer, games and technology. In case if we are go to ASL or Deaf Expo. We can go to meet in face to face instead of other strange place.

I am sorry about off topic.

That's fine. Then why you made this thread at first place?

I was nervous that Vista will over the boot up, that means I would have difficult time to boot into XP after that until confirmed, it's not true for me because they have command and ask me to boot into XP or Vista.

It was Dell XPS, that where I installed Vista.

MS Virtual 2007 is only for PC with Windows, that runs older Windows on virtual PC 2007, it doesn't support Mac with Mac OS X.

Virtual PC (not 2007) for Mac isn't support on Intel, you are right and MS is no longer to develop on Virtual PC anymore, you need use bootcamp, parallel desktop or fusion.

I understand that you're nervous that vista will over the boot up. You can pick one XP pro or Vista. Do you have macbook or imac?

You're right. I have parallel on desktop. Do you like Linux?

Parallel suck. It's gave my laptop's stress cpu too high like crazy. I tried it for month and I sick of that already. Now I use Vmware Fusion. It's best one ever!
