Muslims outraged at cute British puppy ad

Muslims dont respect anything. Alot of them just want everything their own way, even if they are in our country they think they can step over us and "obey their wishes" which will never happen...this kind of stuff relates to a non stop long war for centuries.

Exactly right!!!!

What they need to learn is mutual respect.

Some Muslims believe that -touching- dogs is unacceptable- not looking at nor having a photograph of them.

My bet is, the community uproar consisted of 2 or 3 shopkeepers bent on complaining about the police.. and who is to pass up a story that proves muslims are evil because they don't like 'cute puppies' on their walls?

I'm not going to push my beliefs, as a Muslim, on you. But I will kindly ask that you take your head out of the unfortunate place it seems to be lodged and take a moment to consider the fact that this is, in fact, news. The wonderful world where anything is done for a good story. Don't use one story as an excuse to rally around eachother and pat yourselves on the backs for your own racism.

The article doesn't even state that the teacher who "forced" the worship was Muslim.

I agree that beliefs shouldn't be forced on anyone; but I think the xenophobic attitudes of some is disturbing. People throw around all kinds of absolutes, ie. "Muslims ALWAYS" or "Muslims NEVER". Those words in themselves prove that the accusations are baseless or only apply to a few fanatics.

I know plenty of Muslim people who would never treat someone disrespectfully.

Too much misinformation flying around this thread.

in times of excess population, they will decide who to kill off, and thats why they invented politics and religion, just to make killing 'reasonable' for in times of scarcity of resources, in the com,ing times it will be oil, bet on it , this will happen in the leiu of population 'problems' because taking oil of of the economy is going to mean drastic impacts on labour and everyone will question who to die first. History's lesson about Hilter will be out the window. Politically correctness will collapse with the economic system crash becuase basically that's what gave it further impetus to drive the 'global economy' which the very wealthy rulers have most of us well duped. I am sure they rule over the Bush Adminstration too, like Bush is just a convenient scapgoat - again this is a little radical for most of you.

Can we please have a civil intelligent discussion without using the f-word?

Hate to say it, but I see racism in this particular thread like crazy. I wish people would just stop thinking of each other as Muslim or Christian or Atheist or whatever, and just think of each other as human beings first.

Just read the posts, for the most part so biased.

I'm sick of people hating each other for what a fraction of the people do.

Say what you will; I only speak for myself. If you have read the OP, you'd know these are very real stories and have been going on in some other free countries for a number of years now. Or maybe you wouldn't. Whatever tag I put on these kind of people is indicative of them only; my paintbrush isn't that wide. That's all i'll say about that......

My crack is at Aleser who has painted everyone who has read that post as racists; I only noticed it today. Maybe that's to whom you should have addressed your concern.

Edited to add: It was pretty presumptuous of me to include Reba in my statement so I have edited her name out.

Then why would you want to lower yourself to their level??

now you tell me, that killing with bombs strapped to themselves is not good enough as a reason to dislike irreational behaviours which exhibit such barrelful of hate?

on other hand, you can choose to ignore it, but to 'love them' would have you running a higher risk of getting harmed because the tolerance bar is set too high?

That is not lowering the moralistic standards, its called dropping tolerance to such mindless violence

Just to clear the air.

My intention of putting up new threads is to share awareness of what's happening in the world. Sometimes these events are put on the back pages of newspapers, if they're covered at all, so they're easily missed.

All events are pieces of a larger puzzle. We need to know what's happening in the world.

My personal opinion? That there is a danger that in a society's effort to appease a group that is easily "outraged", it will be perceived by that group as weakness that can be exploited. Each incident by itself is minor, but all these little cracks in the foundation can eventually split the foundation into pieces.

I believe we should be aware of what's happening, and take appropriate NON-VIOLENT action. I also believe that caving in to one group's unreasonable demands, or turning away when they commit crimes in the name of culture, is not appropriate action either.

I don't believe name-calling, mockery, expressions of hate, or stereotyping are appropriate resolutions.

Not ALL Muslims behave in an intolerant, outraged, aggressive manner. But when some do, we need to take note of that.

In general, I believe if people freely immigrate to new countries, they should also be willing to accept the language, culture, and laws of that country.

You speak of an agenda where your postings clearly prove that you hammer away at the same topic, expecting no less than "outrage".

In AllDeaf, you never correct these "name-calling, mockery, expressions of hate, or stereotyping" reactions.

I pray to God your soul to keep.

I agree with you, I guess I was letting my anger get out of control and that was very wrong of me and I appologize to everyone for that. I am just very tired of people trying to push thier beliefs into everyone elses daily lives. If you don't like something like ads like the dog in the hat then don't look at it. or don't become a cop. Simple as that. And if you truely don't like how the country is ran then leave the country. Find another one that fits your beliefs.
