heh i hope. I acutally have 1 BFF friend named Krista. She lives up the street from my house. Her parents are divorced. But one time she tried to break our friendship because i was deaf i guess. And that made me sad. So her mom found out about it and made her write a letter to me saying to apoligize and that her mom told her that i was a special girl and she'll miss out on alot of thigns with me. So she ended up asking to have our friendship with me again. so we're BFFs now. She treats me as a normal person soo.

Friends will come and go. Its RARE to find true friends, there is never a MILLION of true friends but only FEW.
 
Well, you got a sad situation on your hands. August said way earlier in this thread that once you start hangin on your own, you will meet better people. I believe once you treat the girls like aqaintences (sp) and get out on your own without your BFF, God will send someone your way. This someone will change your life for the better. True friends are rare. Often we see others and think they have it made but in reality they are f*cked up on the inside. Competing w/ the Jones never works. The grass may look greener on the other side but once you get there, you see that it is much worse than it looked. It is better to be who you are and if people have a problem with it, look the other way and block em out in your mind and ears.

There was a guy in my HS and he was deaf. I went to a hearing school that had a 'hearing impaired' program for the deaf and HOH. He was an awesome football player and was a jock thru and thru so he had many friends. I never felt alone because I am HOH and I think those that are HOH kinda have it both ways where we hear when we want w/ the hearing aids and then we take them out and viola! we are deaf. I love it actually. Anyway I am rambling. Take care and chin up.

Lol! It is funny cuz many of my close Deaf friends are either Latino or blacks. I just dont know why. My brother said that it is the same for him. 3 of his best buds are Hispanics. We grew up in a predominately Latino neighborhood growing up.

My daughter is half Mexican and half white while my son is half black and half white. I know..I am very weird! LOL!

Sorry to hear that you're going through rough times with your friends. True friends are really hard to find. I'll say move on and find some cool people out there. Btw, sounds like Shane is a cool guy, but don't get him involved with other people's business you could lose him, too.

My friends dumped me a while back. My solution: become more weird. The result: I have the best group of friends a girl could ask for!
Deafness shouldn't matter to anyone with half a brain...if they are so silly as to leave you out (and block you on AIM) then it's their loss, not yours because you didn't lose anything worth having (even if it feels like you did). I know it doesn't feel good, but take it from someone who's been there: God took them out of your life to make room for something great!! :aw:
 
I don't even know why i'm even friends with them in the first place. I wasn't friends with them on the first time we met. they wanted to be my friend. then all the sudden they're not treating me right. I feel like i wanted to yell at them and put some sense into their heads.
 
in the aim convo you posted, you said someone you knew was having a hard time. one person briefly expressed her concern, and then everyone swept it under the carpet and started talking about some youtube video about kissing.

these "friends" of yours are fucked up and need psychiatric treatment.

lol i know. my friend alaina has a boyfriend named shane. I didn't even know that they were going out because nobody keeps me up with the updates on whoses going out with who. So alaina texted me last night telling me not to IM or call her boyfriend because if i do she'll become the bitchiest bitch that you'll ever know. I mean i'm just talkig to him as friends not like flirting. I have a crush on Jay for god sakes not Shane. He's 16 years old. he goes to Ameila high school here in centerville. I'm going to Centerville High School with alaina. My interpreter told my mom over the phone saying that katie and caitlynn are spolied brats and they think they're better than everyone else. and that they're not very nice at all. I'm beginning to see that.

I know, actually Jolie77 removed my aim convo i posted on here. I was going to edit the screennames out but it took me like 45 minutes since it was a long convo. and i had a 30 min limited to edit it. so i told her to go ahead and remove it because i had to edit it in 45 min when i had a limited time which i didn't know that. so i'll be more careful next time ;)
