So, I'm an avid collector of military items, and clothes as well as flags (like SS flag), knives, and so on etc.

Was wondering if you would post some? If you have one...

Here are few ones of mine:

unfortunately, those are the only ones that i am able to scan... The rest of others, not possible. I could google for similar items/clothes/etc and post them here.

Maybe this is a weird thread, since I'm probably the only one here...

Post away, don't be afraid lol, I won't make a judgement on you- this is purely collection interests :)

i collect empty beer bottles (after I drank it, once a week i try a different one, gourmets, and imports), and collect full wine bottles to cellar and drink depending what sorts these are. ...once or twice a week i collect dog shits from my back lawn as i have two large rambicutous dogs.

I collect casino $1 coins. I will have to go fish them out to take a pix. I collect only from casinos I have personally been to. I've been to casinos in other countries, so I like that variety of my collection. I also have a couple special edition coins - like for New Year's Eve (if the casino is hosting a special party, etc.) with the year. I wonder if they'll be worth something some day. I have about 30-40 different casino coins.

I collected a few pieces of Nazi memorabilia (we MUST remember history or we are doomed to repeat it). I had a SS helmet with a bullet ding and a first edition copy of Mein Kampf in German. Additionally, I had the magazine copy, all 18 issues. It was air-dropped all over Germany as a press junket. It was considered one of the earlier English editions to come out. I got outbid on a concentration camp uniform.

I bought all of these via eBay back when eBay was starting out. This was before they became a flea market. They used to be a real auction place. Bleh at eBay now! We lost them all though. My mother's house burned down in 1999. They were being stored there when we moved back to Houston from Las Vegas. No pictures either.

:(

Cool. There are some websites that still sell those stuff.

I own an uniform of SS M32 (Sturmbannfuhrer version), which also comes with cap. Several medals, pamphlets, medal ribbon bars, boot, belt, tea cup, lol even a ring, you name it.

Also owns variant versions of ustasha (Croatian nazis) and Chetniks (Serbian version of nazis). And Finnish as well.

Obviously, I also own lots of communist ones, like Titoist Partisans, Russians, Yugoslav ones before it broke up, Chinese, and so on.

Not really big fan of Allies stuff, but I do own some British ones.

Also own some WWI stuff.

Y'all have unique collection. I collect only music and movies. I own over 600 DVDs and still counting and a couple of box sets. My music collection involves the actual albums of all my favorite bands and only 12 albums left to complete it. Accusing to iTunes, I have over a thousand songs and most of them are digital. I also have a cute KoRn doll and it's the same doll from their album's artwork called Issues. I'm surprised my 10 years old doll is still in a good shape, just a bit dirty though. I would take pictures but ehh.

I collect elephant stuff. Kinda boring huh? I've been collecting it since I was kid. I've at least gotten rid of the elephant stuffed animals. A grown woman with a collection of stuffed animals is just a bit creepy lol

Oh I collect quite a few historical books back in the 1800's related to deaf education and deafness. I was hoping to find more but I didn't pursue hard enough because I have too many other things to do that I enjoyed.

Oh wow!!! That is so cool! One of my ideas for my thesis was on deaf literature. I'm a literature major. Although I already picked something else for my thesis, I'd love to present at a conference on that. I would LOVE it if you'd pm me a list of your books w title and author so I can see if I can fid COPIES . BTW, the only reason I picked a different thesis subject was because I couldn't find enough literature on the subject. Being an earlyaAmerican lit major, I needed literature that was from the 1700's and 1800's ; I couldn't find much.

Yes, it's hard to find those books. Most of my books are very fragile and it kept in control environment room. I haven't mentioned to anyone about my books until I brought it up year ago. Here's one books I posted here on AD:

So, I leave the books untouched.

Added: Oh, just to let you know that Harvey Prindle Peet have written few books and you may find some on paper back.

a sidetrack. I think I collect pens because I like to write instead of type and I like having enough pens in the house. I can never understand this and it annoys me to infinity. why is it that every single time I go to anybody's house... a pen is nowhere to be found? it doesn't make any sense.

just about anything is readily and easily found in my house. pens, papers, rubber bands, paper clips, batteries, etc.

Not necessarily, a lot of middleincome men spend ridiculous amts of money on a sports car they restore, a fishing boat, golfing, or other things. Maybe this is just what he chose to put his money into?

In my own defense, the Build a Bears are gifts from my grandchildren. The cow even has Build a Bear hearing aids. :P
