The good: Built-in VGA camera with flash; world phone; speakerphone; great keyboard; convenient e-mail and IM functionality; relatively speedy Web browsing; 32MB RAM.

The bad: Bulky and heavy; no corporate e-mail access; no Bluetooth or infrared port; limited customization options.

The bottom line: T-Mobile's Sidekick II adds a built-in camera to its stellar e-mail, surfing, and IM abilities, but some annoying flaws remain.

Prices: $89 to $399 with data service including rebates (Free with voice and data plan)

The good: The T-Mobile MDA is fully stocked with a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and EDGE support. It also has a 1.3-megapixel camera, Windows Mobile 5, and a Mini SD expansion slot.

The bad: Unfortunately, the T-Mobile MDA's keypad suffers from poor backlighting and lacks dedicated numeric keys. The MDA's camera also produces so-so images, and the phone doesn't ship with a Mini SD card.

The bottom line: Hobbled by a poorly designed QWERTY keypad and sometimes sluggish performance, the Wi-Fi and EDGE-enabled T-Mobile MDA makes for an enticing but ultimately mediocre addition to T-Mobile's smart-phone lineup.

Price: $399 with $50 rebates

The good: The RIM BlackBerry 7290 for Cingular Wireless boasts a color display, Bluetooth, an easy-to-use interface, and extensive e-mail support. The world phone is also compact.

The bad: We didn't like the dim screen or the lack of a speakerphone and expandable memory on the BlackBerry 7290.

The bottom line: Sleek and simple, the RIM BlackBerry 7290 is a great option for on-the-go types.

The good: The Treo 700w runs Windows Mobile 5 and sports the same great, compact form factor of the Treo 650. This smart phone also comes with Bluetooth, a 1.3-megapixel camera, and EV-DO support.

The bad: Unfortunately, the Treo 700w doesn't include integrated Wi-Fi and has a somewhat poor 240x240-pixel resolution.

The bottom line: The Palm Treo 700w brings Windows Mobile and a number of useful features, such as push e-mail and photo speed dial, to the much-beloved smart phone, but its heft and its washed-out screen has us giving the edge to the Treo 650.

The good: The Sprint PPC-6700 features a spacious QWERTY keyboard, three forms of wireless (EV-DO, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth), and the latest OS, Windows Mobile 5.

The bad: The bricklike Sprint PPC-6700 has some downfalls, including a nonstandard memory slot, no voice dialing, and somewhat sluggish performance. The LCD is also impossible to read outdoors, and it's easy to press the side buttons accidentally.

The bottom line: Although far from perfect, the Sprint PPC-6700 is definitely smarter than most smart phones and almost good enough to earn the title of Treo killer.

Cost: $599.99 - $150 Instant Saving = $449.99

That's not work in outter of suburb ring and rural area.

I'm fucking hate Verzion and Sprint. Cingulair does okay.

Tmobile is BEST.

My experience with Sprint has been superb. I just picked up a Blackberry 7250, they're oddly selling them in the stores where I live but they're not mentioned online anywhere except in the business section. Weird.

I can careless about it but Verzion don't shows off-Network Roaming but T-Mobile would be work on International (including Canada, Mexico, Hong Kong, Tokyo and many largest cities in the worldwide). T-Mobile does work so well in outter ring of suburb and rural area. Rest of other service (like Verzion and Sprint won't work on international execpt for some part of Mexico and Canada. I visited Mexico so often and no problem with me.

Neo, ur coverage map of Tmobile is old...

Tmobile had been updated... LOOK

In Washington Metro (DC/MD/VA). I am sure that all of the products can covered for full service...

Who go out of USA so often? So no point for that. Very few people who want international then pick GSM as they are happy.
