Have you had experiences with false fire alarms at Gallaudet/NTID?

I heard some stories on false fire alarm occurrances at both colleges.

1. Some people pulled the fire alarms at 200 times all day/night at Gallaudet years ago.

2. NTID.. Tower A was a famous building where the false alarms were started. I heard a several stories. I will post them later.

Some are hilarious and some are embarrassment.:naughty:
 
I guess that's why Gally is strict now and whoever pulls those fire alarms for nothing suffers the consequences. I know of one who pulled it a couple years ago, he got kicked out and was told not to come back for a couple years :shock:
 
yeah- i hear dif you once pulled a false alarm, you'll be expelled for couple years
 
Yep the consquences r getting more serious now - im not a college student yet so I have no experiences :D

yep yep Oddball -- RIT's Tower A FAMOUSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS firealarms *rme* i HATED that when it went off at ALL hours -- gawd -- thank god i didnt live in Tower A the rest of my years at RIT *relieved* -- lived in Gibson Hall for 2 years :D PEACEEEEEEE
 
Yep! When I was a frosh at Gally, I had to wake up 9 times at one night due to a fire alarm at the dorm! I didn't EVEN go to bed that early, and it was like past 1am on a school night. Such a memory!

Also, suffered the middle-night fire alarms at NTID and standing out in freezing cold too dozen of times during my short stay in there!
 
The fire dept. must of been mad for having to come all the time and there is no fire!! if there is a real fire, they probably wont come or take their time to come...
 
yeah, i remmy i was in gallaudet for 99 to 00...when there was rain outside, we had to go outside and even snow too. i brought my queen banket and wrapped around me and my ex bec...we wore underwears and her bra. we just fucked done before started alarm :mad2:
 
worst is my first week of gallaudet, when it was fire alarm...my first time see it...i thought i was blind bec i couldn't walk or find the door...few weeks later after alot fire alarms, i usually have it happen.

Yeah, same here that's why i moved to "hearing dorm"
next to Tower A just to avoid these alarms... but
I missed the deep "deafie" interaction in Tower A
and I recalled i used to live on 11th floor in Tower A and
we even had some beer parties in the elevator all nite !!!

I suspect that NTID have more alarms much more than
Gally. Right ?
 
I never forget when I lived in dormitory at Gallaudet University for 4 years. (It was from 1986 till 1990) It kept me to interrupt my sleep time while it was false fire alarm. I hate it but have to accept. :crazy:

I work for as a police dispatcher for the University of Rhode Island. We have big time problems here at times with fire alarms. What will happen in the winter when there is snow, one dorm will pull the fire alarm in the dorm next to it. When all the kids exit the building, they will start throwing snowballs at them. So what happens for revenge? The reverse happens. This happens 3 or 4 times until the fire alarm tech shuts off the alarm and they post a fire watch in the building's fire alarm panel.

I heard from my friend's sister, who's BF attends RIT (hearing), that Ellington Dorm is popular to pull the fire alarm. I guess it is awesome to watch all the strobes in all the rooms go off. I could only imagine.
 
back in '99 when I was at rit I was usin my best friend's compy and stupid fire alarm went off around 11am I was like uh and I can't get back in cuz I didn't have the key to get back in so I had to wait for stupid roommate to get back sheesh stupid idea to play pranks on freshmen every year :roll:
 
yup, 1996 at NTID. arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh then 1997, i finally moved to tower B much PEACE! grrr at tower A! lol
