My english was worst back then than now. What helped was some sort of writing class in college (community college) for people who struggle with it. Maybe you can take a course like that even if you are still in high school.

Being patient and hard work are the way to learn. It does take time.

Yeah. It doesn't help that English is one of the most difficult languages to learn but with time you'll improve.

Dunno know how old you are and someone did mention you were still in high school?....It's great you're trying to learn more and improve on ur English!!

A lot of deafies are "too embarrassed" to post/quote due to their poor English....and won't take the steps to improve it! So, kudos to you! Read, read, read! Learn all you can!

And I encourage you, if you know ASL....to sign it the same way you would write it!

Here's a question..... would it be helpful to learn English Grammar by using Sign to teach it? I guess kind of doing a mix off SEE and PSE and ASL?

Travis knows English. He would like to learn grammar rules now. A mix of languages is going to cause a mixed up mess.

Either way it would be pointless. Travis can read and spell very well in English.

It is just a matter of working to apply the rules of structure.

Ok, but that's not what I'm saying. I'm not talking about spelling or reading. What I'm saying is would it be more helpful to have someone who is fluent in ASL and English teach English grammar through the use of Sign as opposed to reading about it through online tutorials?

Keep up the good work Travis! . Your English will improve.
Continue reading. That will help you recognize better English grammar, and it will increase your vocabulary. If you don't understand a word, use a dictionary and thesaurus.

Travis, have you ever thought of taking an English As a Second Language course? Maybe that might help you. And I gotta say.....English grammar is very hard.
