Reformulation started this year - around summer.

Their bread tastes better after reformulated but not all franchises use reformulated bread yet.

D'Angelo took over the Subway and it been here for awhile now. I don't think Subway will be in my city again. I don't eat subs a lot . I might have one 2 times a year if that often . We had a great little mom and pop sub shop . They remember what all their customers likes on their subs and the bread came from a bakery in Boston. People were sad to see the shop close up. I grew up with shops like this and I miss them .

Here is Indiana Law.

"In Indiana, the age of sexual consent is 16. However, this number is nearly arbitrary, as the law permits individuals aged 14 and 15 to consent to sex with anyone younger than 18.

"Thus, despite the age of majority, a 15-year-old and 17-year-old could legally have sex in Indiana, but, IF the older person were 18, it would be a CRIME."

This is Fogel's predicament. She may have consented. He still committed a crime when he touched her inappropriately.

Possessing Child Porn is just a distasteful act for a human to even do in the first place - let alone be the one taking the pictures. So, I hope Fogle gets what he deserves! You can't expect to do something, with out significantly paying for what you know is wrong!

Although the Law states in the U.S., anyone under 18 is a minor, and sex with a minor is not legal. Regardless of whether the minor consented to it or not.

I think it's awfully funny how the Government of Laws likes to set in stone of how we should be living and how we should obey things such as consent!

I believe if they both mutually agree on what they want to do, I.E. Sexual acts, etc. , then they should have that right to do so, regardless of what was written and how the society should obey things because a bunch of legislators got together and created rules for the world to obey by and if not, be sentenced to jail for their crimes - that to the legislators are the crimes but to the partners, are not, - is simply an incitement for anyone to challenge!

Don't get me wrong. I am not one with Child Porn but I am one with ones who want to do what they want, without anyone telling them to do so, at THEIR own discretion.

Think of it like this? Do you need permission to go out of your house at certain times of days to do what you want and if you do, you'll be punished because your not obeying the rules or how about this?

Your not allowed to sleep on Wensdays and if you are caught sleeping, you'll be fined..

Now, your probably thinking that is not fair and I don't agree to it. Well then, now you know my views on how I feel people should do what they want, when they want, with whom ever they want. As disturbing at that may sound, everyone is entitled to their own opinions and views on subjects.

I am a reason person. A more-less, Philosophical person at heart.

Jared Fogle's Victims To Benefit From Groundbreaking Plea Deal

The disgraced Subway pitchman will pay his 14 victims $1.4 million in restitution.

Jared Fogle has agreed to what federal prosecutors are calling a "historic" plea deal in response to the charges he distributed child pornography and repeatedly pursued paid sex with minors.

As part of Fogle's plea deal announced Wednesday by the U.S. Attorney's office in the Southern District of Indiana, the disgraced Subway pitchman will pay a total of $1.4 million in restitution to the 14 victims identified by prosecutors. Fogle faces up to 12 years in prison.

The restitution from the plea deal is the largest cash amount ever ordered for a child pornography or sex trafficking case in the history of the Southern District of Indiana, according to Tim Horty, a spokesman for the U.S. Attorney's office in Indianapolis.

"One hundred thousand dollars per person is enough to get [the victims] into some counseling service and allow them the opportunity to -- at least in the prostitution situation -- get themselves out of that situation," Horty told The Huffington Post Wednesday.

Eight of Fogle's victims are still minors; the remaining four are "now adults in desperate straits," Assistant U.S. Attorney Steven DeBrota told reporters Wednesday.

Though Horty was unable to go into specifics for privacy reasons, he told HuffPost of the victims' circumstances, "You can imagine — life situation in general: Parents who were not particularly supportive, no financial means to even carry on with some of life’s basic necessities."

Horty also noted that "a couple of families had multiple victims."

Horty also noted that "a couple of families had multiple victims."

The U.S. Attorney's office anticipated the victims will apply the restitution to needs like counseling, housing and education.

"It sounds like a lot of money, but it’s our opportunity to help make the victims whole,” Horty said.

Shortchanged victims not uncommon

Fogle's estimated net worth of $15 million means his victims are likely to receive the full amount of restitution ordered. According to attorney and former U.S. federal judge Paul Cassell, that's not often the case for victims of sex crimes.

Cassell told HuffPost not only do many abusers lack the wealth to make the restitution payment, victims are only eligible for it if they can enumerate specific loses -- like property, income or employment -- as a result of the abuse.

"The current laws in this country do not currently cover emotional distress — [victims] would have to file a civil claim," Cassell said. A victim incurring $100,000 in counseling costs as a result of their trauma could, for instance, present that as an enumerated loss.

"Frankly, I think it’s one of the flaws in our restitution structure," Cassell said. "A victim of child sex assault has suffered an immense trauma, but the current laws take a different approach and only covers what’s considered ‘out of pocket expenses.'"

Restitution payments -- or in some cases, damages from separate civil claim against the abuser -- are used at the victim's discretion and are not taxed.

“If these victims here had theoretically taken Mr. Fogle to civil court for a tort or personal injury claim, what they recovered would not be subject to taxes,” Jim Gliday, an Indianapolis-based tax attorney, told The Huffington Post. "I’d be really, really surprised if that was different in a criminal case."

Though neither the courts nor the U.S. Department of Justice systematically tracks restitution awards, a department spokesman told The Huffington Post a $3.68 million reward ordered for child porn restitution was -- "to the best of our knowledge" -- among the largest in the nation.

A Florida court in 2009 ordered Arthur Staples, a Virginia-based deputy sheriff convicted of child porn trafficking, to pay a victim $3.68 million in restitution. Staples incidentally had an estate of roughly $2 million, but the U.S. Supreme Court would later toss the award.

According to the New York Times, Staples ultimately paid his victim less than half of the originally ordered amount.

Did he actually victimize children? Or did he recieve the pics of it?
What exactly did HE plead guilty to
A 16 ywar ols and a 17 year old are not children.
Im not defending him. I trying to get precise details. Not hype
Only way you will get that is watching/reading court transcripts and judgments from upcoming trial. Sensationalist news media is only interested in shock value and ratings/sales. They are not interested in the truth

The girl was 16. Thus of the age of consent. Its not arbitrsry. Its straight forward16 is age of consent. Its different for those below the age of consent. 14 and 15 year olds can have sex with those below 18 that has no relavance to this purticular case as she was 16, of the age of consent. she wasnt 15 or 14. So no crime was commited. Regarding her. Was he charged with having sex in indiana with the 16 year old?

Having sex with a 16 or 17 year old technically isn't illegal (if both parties mutually consent) but i don't think the victims exactly consented to having sex with Jared- that's the crime not the act of sex itself.

No state's age of consent is lower than 16. The incidents happened in NEW YORK and the age of consent there is 17.

Utah, sex is legal at 15

I had to go look this up as I was curious about that because everywhere else it said 18 and found this--

Exceptions for Minors

In Utah, a minor aged 14 or 15 can legally consent to have sex with a person who is less than 4 years older. For example, a 14 year old can consent to sexual intercourse with a person as old as 17 years of age.

Why are we using terms like victim for the girl over the age of consent? What evidence do we have to support the claim by you this girl did not consent? If she didnt why wasnt he charged with her rape? Was he even charged for having sex with her?
Something is either illegal or its not. In regards to age of consent laws its straight forward. It was legal all legality after all is technical, no need to use a word technicaly, that muddies the waters and alows for the idea of non technicaly...what ever the hell that means in regards to legality.
I get it.
Plenty veiw it as immoral, and some argue with the age of consent being where it is. Fine.
But it was legal
Its not what brought him down

Was it a chid sex plea?
Did he have sex with children?
The plea was in regards to childporn. There is w difference, even in the law.
Anywwy, this guy shows up in court, pleas to child porn, and walks ouur the front door?
Nice. Money does buy things in america afterall.
If he was a poor guy who plead to child porn, fat chance he would be walking out the front door a free man that very day
Anyway

Jared Fogle Will Be ‘Marked’ Man in Prison, Expert Says

Former Subway pitchman Jared Fogle’s life is about to take a radical turn, and according to one prison expert, that turn will be very unpleasant.

Fogle appeared in federal court in Indianapolis, Indiana, on Wednesday and agreed to plead guilty to distribution and receipt of child pornography and unlawful sex acts with minors. Hollywood jail consultant Larry Levine says Fogle’s guilty plea will make him a “marked” man behind bars.

“He is going be a marked person while he’s in there. He is going to be treated as an outcast,” Levine told TheWrap. “The people that are hated in prison are rats and snitches No. 1, and the other ones are rapists and child molesters.”

Levine would know. He was a troubleshooter and efficiency expert for organized crime and has done time in 11 different federal correctional institutions. After leaving his life of crime behind, Levine started Wall Street Prison Consultants and now advises jail-bound clients on how to survive behind bars. He even consulted on the CBS drama “The Good Wife” and the Will Ferrell-Kevin Hart comedy “Get Hard.”

The convict-turned-consultant warned that Fogle likely will be branded a “chomo” — prison slang for a child molester — the second he walks through prison doors. “Nobody wants to have that jacket on them, the chomo jacket,” he said.

Court documents released Wednesday show that Fogle agreed to a sentence of no less than five years, while prosecutors agreed not to seek a sentence of more than 12 and a half years, although they could have asked for much more time.

Stanley L. Friedman, a former federal prosecutor who now does criminal defense work, told TheWrap that that window represents “a very favorable deal” for Fogle, noting that it’s not unusual for a defendant in Fogle’s position to “be facing a sentence in excess of 10 years.”

Federal judges have wide discretion in sentencing and Fogle could get more than 12 and a half years. But as Friedman noted, several factors could work in Fogle’s favor, such as the fact that he’s agreed to pay $1.4 million in restitution, to be divided among 14 minor victims.

“It’s very common for people to be ordered to pay restitution, but they don’t pay it, so if somebody’s paying it upfront, I think the court will very favorably consider that,” Friedman said.

Fogle’s attorney Jeremy D. Margolis told reporters Wednesday that a plea hearing has not yet been scheduled. For now, Fogle is on home detention with GPS monitoring.

According to Friedman, Fogle’s legal team has an opportunity to make the case for leniency. The court could look favorably on what Fogle has suffered since the sandwich chain cut ties with its spokesman after 15 years in terms of lost income, lost contracts and damaged reputation.

Fogle’s attorney will also likely commission a report from a private psychologist, Friedman said. If the report determines that Fogle is unlikely to recidivate, or repeat his wrongdoings in the future, that too could help him come sentencing time.

“The defense lawyer would be asking for five [years],” Friedman estimated.

Even if he is sentenced to just five years, Levine said Fogle’s fame will make those years difficult. “Everybody is gonna know that Jared the chomo is here and he’s gonna get his footlong every day,” Levine explained in raw prison parlance.

The prison consultant expects that Fogle will be sent to one of three low-security federal correctional institutions that offer counseling to sex offenders: in Seagoville, Texas, Englewood, Colorado, or Elkton, Ohio. But Levine warned that the Subway spokesman is unlikely to find much protection from prison guards. “The cops aren’t everywhere,” he explained.

Worse, Levine said that prison authorities have even been known to provoke attacks on sex offenders. “When I was in custody, it was the staff that would tell the other inmates who the child molester inmates were because the staff didn’t like them either,” he said. “The staff would want to beat them up, but they can’t beat them up. They’d tell the inmates, so the inmates could beat them up. It’s a crazy thing.”

Thats wishfull thinking.. mostly...with his loot, and first he will be protected.. if he asks for protection the state will protect him. He prob will.be housed with other pedos, he will.be one of a.crowd, protected. Given his loot.he wont be facing a nightmare.
He has enough loot to pay for protection both from screws and from cons.
The rich have people to organize their protection and make sure everyone gets paid.hes not a poor pedo, with nothing...until all his loot is gone, then things might change.
Meh
