still denying global warming?

Did you know that both Al Gore and IPCC won the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize?

How convenient!

Just once I would like to remark on how the weather is changing without having Al Gore shoved into my face.

Weather changes all the time. So does our climate. This has been going on for a few billion years.

That is true, however you're forgetting how self-centric humans are. Well, most living things are self-centric, but so far, we're the only being that will actually try to directly modify our global environment to prolong our own survival.

Got nothing to do with "it has been happening for eons," because as a species, we are merely a flash in geological time, yet most of us have a hive-mentality that we are here to stay, rather than accepting that one day our future generations just won't exist someday down the line. People do prefer to keep things static as much as possible hence the fear of global warming-- people just can't fathom the possibility of living in a world different from what we see now.

Go figures.

I haven't forgotten about the self-centricity of humans. You need to stop trying to read people minds here.

And we're the only one in the human population that can be easily fooled with science and don't understand the immense complexity of climate and how it works and the influence on it from outside of Earth. There are many, many factors that have a daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, decadal, and even century influence on our climate. Yes, you have to factor in that there were other greater forces of nature that changed climate without any help from humans for over a few billion years which *includes* over the last several thousands of years which had a warmer climate then than we do today. We're still puny compared to what nature, Earth, the sun and our solar system have to offer that affect our climate.

Unless, of course, you are trying to say that CO2 is directly responsible for most of our climate changes?

Not reading anyone's mind. Just pointing out that being an armchair scientist doesn't help to qualm people's fears because it doesn't address what they are really afraid of.

And Al Gore isn't helping.

Hence, all that modeling scenarios. it's a projection. A prediction. Not a fact. People need to understand that a modeled result in climate study for the future is NOT a fact of what will happen but something that might happen or it may not not. Which is why we have many possible outcomes. Not all conceivable factors and parameters are built into these climate modeling software. There are many factors in climate changes that will do not fully understand and yet people are actually gullible enough to these results at face value thinking it's the truth. It's not. Sorry. It's a prediction! And not a very accurate one, too.

Nah.. it says "suggests" not for a fact. :) Big difference.

No, I am actually asking if IPCC ever said that it will vanish within 5 years. Not once do I recall IPCC making that claim. You keep associating Al Gore with IPCC.

And no one here as far as I know ever considered Al Gore as the source on global warming. I've never watched his videos. I never took him as a scientist. Al Gore is the alarmist on global warming while IPCC is much more conservative.

"IPCC[2] estimates in their third assessment report the accumulation to 520 ± 26 Gigatonnes of ice per year, runoff and bottom melting to 297±32 Gt/yr and 32±3 Gt/yr, respectively, and iceberg production to 235±33 Gt/yr. On balance, the IPCC estimates -44 ± 53 Gt/yr, which means that the ice sheet may currently be melting. The most recent research using data from 1996 to 2005 shows that the ice sheet is thinning even faster than supposed by IPCC."

Again IPCC never said it will all melt within 5 years.

IPCC is also the alarmist on global warming, too. And bending to the political will elsewhere and meet their policy objectives on environmental control over people. The IPCC have no credibility. Never did after the alteration of "Chapter 8." It's quite simple. Previously in IPCC's "Chapter 8" it stated conclusively that “No study to date has positively attributed all or part [of the climate change observed to date] to anthropogenic causes.” But later it was revised in the final version of their report several sections of that chapter were deleted or modified in order to remove any hints of scientific doubts regarding the claim anthropgenic impact on global warming.

Are you admit that you are always right and know everything about global warming?

Global warming has been always questionable and debate for years.

There is no proof that man has caused global warming. NONE! Secondly, CO2 only make up .039 percent of the atmosphere while the rest of the atmospheric gases make up the total 99.94 percent. Rather miniscule when compared to the amount of water molecules in the atmosphere.

It is matter of opinion, man.

It's a fact not an opinion. There is no proof that man has caused global warming or that manmade CO2 played a major role in contributing to global warming. Else you'd be claiming that correlation equals causation.

Your read FAIL. Look at RED TEXT in your quote.

There is NO proof that man has caused global warming. It's based on a theory that man caused it. Theory is not a proof. Understand the scientific differences here.
