My question is - where do you GET your music? Do you rip it from cd? Do you convert via YouTube? Do you download from iTunes? Or get it some other way?

I'm leery of file sharing with all the lawsuits going on nowadays.

I use itunes and also download my cds on my itouch.

We have three ipods at my house so itunes is the way to go for us.

I'm going to have to look up some of these songs and listen to them!!

I am forever Journey's fan for over 24 years. I have all of Journey CD's, and Steve Perry also.

My most favorite songs are Faithfully, Wheels in the Sky, Don't Stop Believin', Open Arms, and City of Angels. I love them all. Too many to name. But I would pick Faithfully first. I would replay Faithfully thousand times a day and never get tired of it. I know the lyrics, every one of them by heart. I learned about the lyrics in 1984. Thanks to my sister.

I also like 1980's music, Ozzy Osbourne, Motley Crue, Twisted metal, Quiet Riots--all heavy metal from the 80's. But Journey is my number one most favorite.

Steve Perry's For the Love of Stange Medicine, Oh Sherrie (Street Talk) and his greatest Hits.

The 80's never die...

I have a love for music and I have so many recommendations but the list simply wouldnt fit here. But I like anything that has a good bass tone to it so I can follow it a bit better, but I absolutely cannot stand rap. UGH.

Oh Lord, I have so many favorite songs I could not begin to list them. I have played some of my favorite songs on stage in guitar recitals such as:

Clapton's "Wonderful Tonight" (lead guitar)
Jimmy Buffet's "Margaritaville" (bass guitar)
Tesla's " Signs" (rhythm guitar- acoustic)
Bob Seger's "Still The Same" (bass guitar)

I love listening to good singers like Journey's Steve Perry and Elvin Bishop who had a huge hit with "Fooled Around and Fell In Love". Brad Delp of the band Boston was another one ( he passed away last year).

Folk, rock, country, classical.....the list is endless and I like them all. I think music may have been man's greatest invention.

Music sounds so much better than with a Hearing Aid(27 years), my opinion. I can really hear all the different instruments and voices. It sounds crisp and clear.

The first time I was able to enjoy music was about 3 weeks after activation. I cried at the sound, I never knew how the different instruments completed each other. It is just so natural and beautiful.:)

Vallee, that sounds like a wonderful experience! :) i have worn hearing aids all my life (28 yrs) and i absolutely love music, and its part of my reasoning in wondering if i should get a CI. perhaps i'd enjoy it more and hear it more clearly n crisp :)

I just wanted to suggest to everyone, if ur a fan of rock (or classic rock) take a listen to The Doors. For me personally, I find Jim Morrison's voice amazing. And because its a baritone, and The Doors don't have a bassist, his voice is quite clearer and doesn't "blend" into the music as much as other singers's do.
So perhaps u will find it enjoyable too?! :)

what I do if I don't understand the lyrics, I'd go on the internet or the SK2 to find the lyrics to the song i'm listening to. And its like following the captions. Most songs lyrics I could make out. But not alot of songs if its a rock music. But What I love listening to right now is: "Stay close, Don't go" by Secondhand serenade. But I have about 151 songs on my Ipod nano. the square ipod nano. I forget what generation that is soo..

anyways. Another song I love to listen to is "Heaven Forbid" by The Fray. I always thought the fray was a really good band because they send out messages.

I also like: Bella's lullaby from the Twilight Soundtrack by Carter Burwell-- It's very beautiful to listen to. It has a sadness and love at first sight lullaby. But its also addicting to listen to. The Piano is kind of hard to hear because theres an Orchestra playing in the background as the Piano plays. The piano is the main thing of the song.

How to save a life- By the Fray. I like listening to this song because My history teacher from the 6th and 7th grade made a video to honor the soilders in Iraq, and he used this song in the video he made. And My history teacher is also a movie-editor too. So he does very good movie editing. And this song inspired me because it can be about anything: saving a loved one, saving a stranger from a accident, being a solider, and so much more you can think about.

I have many more but I think this is enough for now.
